Lovely View and Amenities
The home was a charming house with a lot of character. The view was amazing and it was tucked away in a quiet cove. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and taking the canoe and paddle boat out to fish some of the other areas. We cooked a few meals in the kitchen and on the grill to spend as much time there as we could.

Wonderful location
This vacation home was exactly as posted. The location was incredible, nestled part way down the bay. This older home has been well taken care of. Very clean, right down to the barbeque. The owners were very delightful. Our family is thankful to have experienced Snug Harbor for 11 days.

Flathead Lake Cottage
Excellent location, and right beside the water, with lovely water scenery views. Nice and helpful hosts.
Two parking spots, so room for the SUV and boat trailer.
Upstairs AC works well, but is loud.
Couch and chair are both old, and springs are worn out, and should be replaced, as they were uncomfortable to sit in.
Internet Extender unit was not working, so the internet in the cottage was limited to the dining room / kitchen area.

Eric, thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. The internet in this home is limited due to its location. The owner of the home is making considerations for making updates within the home. We appreciate your review and hope to have an opportunity to host you again very soon.
This experience (almost a year in the making) was terrible. We were accused of everything up to and including stealing the guest book. We were awakened by the host peaking in the windows at 5am. We booked this property so that we did not have to feel like guests with family, yet, this experience was stressful, exhausting and felt like harrassment. As we were loading our cars at 8am for a 10 am checkout the host kept asking “you think you’re going to make it?” We were gone and the house was in pristine condition by 10 am. The stress from being eagle eyed from the owners did it’s toll and our nerves were shot. Family from out of state said they will never return to Montana…and my once happy place in the state is tarnished. Itis sad as well that the owner held us hostage for additional cash when we offered to leave. We paid the cash, but nothing improved. Isn’t a landlord constantly walking on to a rented property unnanounced and for no reason illegal?

K R, thank you for your review. We apologize for any issues that you experienced. In the listing and welcome email, it is noted that the owner lives on the adjacent property. Our guest cabin is listed for accommodating 4 people. We cannot host more guests in the home than the allowed occupancy. When you arrived with a larger occupancy, alternate accommodations were arranged. We agreed to 6 people for an additional charge, however that number was exceeded. As posted in our house rules, there is early morning watering of the flower boxes. We also inquired about our guest book that was present when they arrived and missing when they left. We have an outdoor kitchen on our top property and we value our privacy as well as our guest's privacy. We hope to have an opportunity to host you again soon.
Unfortunately, the furniture was from the late 50's early 60's including beds.
Not good, furniture was from late 50's early 60's. Beds we're horrible, had to leave day early, backs could not take the 60's mattress 's. Views we're great, but owners of cabin live across the street and are there every morning at 7am to water flowers, watering lawn and watching you, kinda creepy...do not advise staying here, very expensive for what you get....

Great time and perfect view!
Incredible views! Great cozy cabin with everything you need and great host close by. Will be back!
We had a great four nights at the lake. The new dock was perfect for paddle boarding and the AC helped a ton on the hot days. The owners across the road were so friendly and hospitable I’d highly recommend this spot and we hope to visit again.
Snug Harbor is a great place to experience all that Flathead Lake has to offer. Holliday and Sam, our hosts, were very warm and most helpful during our visit.
Our family had a lovely time at this cozy cabin on Flathead Lake. Holiday and Sam (and their sweet pup!) were gracious hosts and so fun to visit with. Snug Harbor had everything we needed - including water toys! - to have the best time and lots of fun in the sun. The huge dock was also a big plus for us, we even had a place for our boat. We can't wait to return!
Our stay at Snug Harbor was wonderful. It was very relaxing and the view couldn't be beat. We so enjoyed getting out on the lake in the paddle boat provided. It was great to use this as a place to explore not only the lake but all the sights around the area like Glacier National Park, Kalispell, and Whitefish. The kitchen was the most well stocked kitchen we have ever had in a vacation rental. The furniture is old and not super comfy including the beds, but everything else was great.

A perfect getaway.
The house is cozy and charming and the lake front and views are fantastic.
Cozy, comfortable and clean. Holiday and Sam and Brrrr are the perfect hosts. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
The lake is beautiful, you are only 6 miles to Lakeside where there are several great restaurants.
Side trips to Wild Horse Island, Kalispell, Glacier, Lone Pine State Park, and all the towns around Flathead Lake are easy to get to.
best part is just sitting on the deck just lake watching .
Thanks Holiday and Sam for sharing Snug Harbor!

Great views, impeccably clean
The cabin is as close to the water as it can be without being in it! Great views from anywhere in the great room. Basic, but impeccably clean and well maintained. Location is great. Good food within 15 minutes in Lakeside. Close to Polson, Kalispell, Whitefish, Bigfork, and West Glacier. Everything went smoothly from reservation to checkout. Owners live across the street and are very helpful. Great stay.

Awesome
Perfect size. Right on the water. Nice yard to play games on. Awesome lake views.
We absolutely loved our stay at Snug Harbor! We were warmly greeted by Sam, Holiday and their sweet yellow lab, Burr. What a cozy, cabin on gorgeous Flathead Lake with a beautiful view of the mountains. The cabin sits right on top of the lake with a lengthy walkway from dock to dock where we enjoyed jumping and fishing from. We stayed end of June/early July. They had just had snow two weeks prior in Glacier (hour away), so the water was chilly...but refreshing. The expansive lake is so beautiful and clear. The pictures of the cabin were a good representation of it. It reminds me of what a cabin should be... nothing super fancy, but cozy with all the essentials. It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Our boys enjoyed having the loft to themselves.
It was wonderful to have the paddle boat, canoe, floats and life jackets available to us. We fished on and off throughout the day - casting from the dock. My husband even caught a perch! There are lake trout to be caught - further out where it's deeper. We rented a jet ski from Matt at Boat Rentals and Rides. It was a 25 min ride across the water to the cabin - easy to navigate along the highway/shoreline. We also had the benefit of Hunter visiting his parents. We had a wonderful evening with their family out on the lake. Each night we enjoyed smores over the fire pit. We loved ending our days sitting out there with the fire enjoying the cool MT evenings.
Sam and Holiday are constantly cleaning the property and watering the plants. The yard is pristine. They are personable but really respect your time and privacy too. We enjoyed our chats when we saw them. They couldn't have been better hosts. They were very helpful regarding hikes and how to navigate Glacier National Park. My boys already asked when we can go back to the cabin.
You have wonderful hikes nearby (Jewel Basin outside of Kalispell) and stunning Glacier National Park is only an hour away. Wow! We saw 8 bears (incl 1 grizzly bear), mt goats and big horned sheep. It's breathtaking. Great hikes too. Polson (Flathead Lake) and Whitefish (ski resort and lake) are great towns to visit as well. Make sure you try everything huckleberry (it's everywhere - smoothies, shakes, pulled pork, pancakes, licorice, etc.).
We cannot wait until our next visit to Snug Harbor. I would love if we could make it a yearly trip. It was just what we needed - rest, relaxation, lake time, mt scenery, cozy cabin and great hosts to visit with.
Two girlfriends and I were seeking a get-away on the water for a stress management session. We had a glorious week in this little cabin, which was perfect for us. It had all the amenities we needed. The only thing that could have made this stay a little smoother for us is an instruction sheet on the use of some of the cabin amenities: light switches (I know that sounds absurd, but they're a little wonky), DVD/TV, heaters and the wood burning stove specifically. The owners were responsive to our needs and questions, and they're nice as can be. And coffee on the deck in the mornings was absolutely sublime.

We drove over from Great Falls only to be greeted by amazing views around every bend. The water was a bit refreshing for this Florida family, but the owners let us use their water toys to experience the lake, which is crystal clear, with the smoothest rocks we've ever seen. The cottage had everything we needed and even more! One evening they took us on a boat ride to show us amazing history around the lake. Despite the fires and smoke coming from the Park we couldn't have asked for a better get away. We look forward to returning soon!!

Perfect getaway
The cabin was cute and had a beautiful view of the lake just steps away. Every window had a view of the lake and the paddle boat and canoe were so much fun. My whole family fell in love with it and can’t wait to come back. The owners were so sweet very welcoming.
