This place checked all the boxes for us. Very clean and helpful host. It was also close to highway and anything we needed. Also really liked the mountaineer decor
We had an awesome stay at the mountaineer retreat! This home was clean, tastefully decorated and had everything we needed while our family was in town for a 3 day swim meet at WVU’s Mylan Park Aquatics Center!
The host checked in with us to make sure we had what we needed to get in the house and if we needed anything. The house was perfect for our needs. Cozy with plenty of space. Very clean and neat. Extras provided like soap, shampoo, cotton swabs, tissue, etc. so we didn’t have to buy at the store.
Just an overall wonderful experience. We booked to stay over Christmas and the hosts had set up a tree and decorations. Incredibly kind to walk in to. The house sleeps quite a few comfortably and the kitchen is nicely stocked to cook even a large Christmas dinner. A great stay.
This is a great house!! The history to the musket rifle displayed throughout the house & tied to WVU was amazing.
Check in was easy. Host checked in throughout the weekend.
Perfect accommodations for us to attend the Backyard Brawl!!
Will definitely stay here again!
House was exactly what we expected from the reviews.
Extremely clean and well stocked.
A great home base visiting my daughter at WVU with family. It is on a busier road for the area; but is still off the road and private.
Easy check in and very responsive hosts who were very accommodating with a special request.
10-15 minutes from the stadium
Would certainly stay again.
The house was very welcoming, comfortable and clean. We could have used an on site laundry but very much enjoyed the large yard, cozy beds, and Mountaineer decor. Overall it was very thoughtful and well maintained. Thanks.
We have family close by, making this a perfect location for us. Debbie was great at communicating and the parking was spacious, which we have found to be an issue at some VRBO. The driveway is a little hard to find if you aren’t paying attention and our phone tried taking us a couple miles further up the road. The phone in the other car and the Toyota navigation were correct, so I’m not sure what that was about.

WVU Move in!
Freshman move in success! The house was beautiful. We loved the scenic photos of WVU campus and the history of the Mountaineer rifle throughout the home. Our overall stay was very comfortable, with a homey feel. The communication with the owner was always prompt. We loved the brook running through the back yard, and the seating outside. We already have our next weekend here booked! GO MOUNTAINEERS!

Was disappointed to find that there were steps up to house not shown on picture and buried in the description. Other wise the house was it self was fine.
Easy check in and quick responses to questions. The WVU memorabilia throughout the house was impressive made some great discussions points for the kids.

Great House
We had a wonderful stay at the Mountaineer Retreat. The house was wonderful and very well taken care of. We stayed to visit our daughter at WVU and attend the football game. The only downside for us was the weather was bad. But the accommodations were very nice. The house had everything we needed.

Noisy but comfortable
The house was advertised as being in Brookhaven, but is actually in Dellslow, on a major truck route, so the bedrooms near the road had loud road noises constantly. Once inside the house it was lovely, especially when the property manager told me how to unplug the fragrance maker from under the couch. We enjoyed our visit but are not likely to rent it again because of the location. The property manager was excellent and a good communicator.
Good location to campus if you don’t mind driving 15-20 minutes. The area of the house is not the best. But the house itself was great. Had all of the amenities you need! We would stay again when going to visit our son.

Clean, cute house!
Very clean house! Owners were very nice. Offered great amenities that a lot of other rentals don't offer. Even though the house looks close to the road, you don't hear the road noise at all. Really nice creek running past the back of the house. Would definitely stay here again!
Each of us truly appreciated our stay in Morgantown. The home was so comfortable and welcoming. My only criticism is trying to locate the house on that busy street. The house number tacked to the telephone pole is not visible from both directions and, at night, impossible to see. Once you find the property then you get acclimated and know how to find it again. But it was the first time that was disconcerting especially after a long drive. That is the only criticism! It was wonderful and we thank you.
This was a wonderful house. Lots of space for us to spread out, and had everything we needed. My two children (7&11) enjoyed the large yards, chasing fireflies, and playing basketball. My Mom (82) had some trouble getting to the house. The property is sitting on a hill from the drive way and there were several steps getting up to the house. The tub was also very tall and no handrail to help get into it. It is also sitting on a very busy street with heavy duty trucks up and down at all hours. Otherwise, this is a beautiful place. The house was comfortable, and not far from the WV botanical gardens. We really enjoyed our time there and would consider booking again.

House was nice. Alot of traffic noise very close to busy street. Had an issue with check .
Nice house. Clean comfortable beds. Difficult check in. Unable to get a hold of contact. Was there about an hour before contact reached and code reset. Otherwise great.
We hosted a "guys weekend" for my son and some of his friends. Great location close to Golf, Lake, and Morgantown! House amenities perfectly served our group. We would definitely stay here again.
