If you want a true mountain get away experience while still in luxury this is the place. This is not just any old house placed in the mountains. This is a HUGE A Frame cabin converted in to a luxury mountain escape. The house is loaded with authentic experiences such as fallen trees from the property placed inside that actually hold the house up and spiral staircases fabricated onsite from the same trees. Most of the furniture was made locally and the floors are cut at a local saw mill with the old fashion circular saw leaving beautiful character behind. In addition to the comfortable mountain experience the house is loaded with Luxuries. The kitchen has brand new professional appliances and stocked with every item you would need to serve a 5 course dinner or quickly make a simple P&J sandwich. This was a lovely property and it was very well kept. It was not clear that bedrooms are on multiple floors which is only an issue when deciding where to sleep everyone.WiFi was good but internet access was poor.
Our family loved the cabin! It was clean, comfortable and had plenty of amenities that made everyone happy. We would highly recommend staying here. The views were incredible too!
I enjoyed the beautiful view of the river from high atop the hill in a well taken care of and fully loaded cabin. My family will definitely rent this cabin again.
Took my family to this location for a quick weekend getaway. The home, lot, and river access were amazing.
Kitchen was upscale and very nice. Unit was very clean. Easy host to work with.
Beautiful property in the mountains, the cabin has large windows we felt surrounded by trees. The kitchen was well stocked, there is a cabinet full of games for the kids. Comfy beds, plenty of space, saw deer from the kitchen, the sunsets were stunning. Great activities close by, we picked apples at BJ Reece and visited Monteluce winery.
We have stayed in this cabin many times and love it so, I knew this would be the perfect place for my husband and his friends to go. It was his 50th birthday and I surprised him with this trip as his gift. They had an amazing time!
This cabin was the perfect place for a getaway with kids. The playground was such a nice addition— we had to beg my son to get off it every night. It’s a steep hike to the river, but a beautiful view. Cabin was clean, functional, and exceeded expectations.
Beautiful home. We had everything we needed and the house was clean. Only downside is access to the water. Adults and athletes had difficulty getting back from the river because the driveway was steep. It was awkward bringing the vehicle there but found that the best way to get there and be able to actually make it back to the house :)
Overall great place to stay.
We loved staying at this beautiful property. It was just want we wanted for an escape from the city. Very comfortable setting for our family and gorgeous surroundings. Also close enough to Ellijay that we could grab a bite to eat or get what we needed.
The view of the water is excellent and you can hear the rushing water from the balconies of the house. However, the walk up and down the hill path is not for the faint of heart. Also be sure to bring whatever you need for cooking beyond pots and pans. The kitchen is beautiful but not as well stocked with basics as some other properties. Our gps had us lost several times getting to the house so make sure to use the directions from the property owner!
Overall great stay and would stay again!
The property manager was very difficult to work with Christy Wolfe. You need to provide absolutely everything!!! My biggest disappointment was having to provide my own wood for the fireplace and pit. The 2nd photo shows more than a full cord of wood but reality is for both places 5 pieces of wood ONLY provided by the place. I had to find someone and spent 140 to get a weeks worth. Also they charge for cleaning but there was a months of dust on the mantle and under the couches. However, we did have a good time but would find another place next time.
The house is beautiful and in a great location. Close enough to town but you have plenty of privacy. The house is very nice and worked well for 3 families. The river is beautiful. We spent hours swimming, tubing and walking up and down the river. There is a perfect tubing spot right around the bend. My only complaint is that the house is so far away from the river. With 2 small kids, I like to be able to sit by the river during naptime but this isn’t possible. There is a steep drive/walk to get to the river but it’s doable. My 5 year old did it every day. The only other downside is the way the house sits, you can’t really enjoy the deck from 12-8 because it’s too hot. You’re in direct sunlight with no shade. Not the end of the world though!! We loved watching all the deer from the dining room window. I hiked to the Clear Creek trail one morning and saw 38 deer! Clear Creek trail is only 1 mile away and there is a great tubing spot there as well! If your family enjoys spending time in the river, this is a great spot!
This is the second time we’ve stayed at this house, and we had a blast. We enjoyed going to downtown Ellijay and then eating dinner on the porch at the cabin. This year we found two vineyards a mile from the house which was fun! We can’t wait to go back next year!
This is the second time I have stayed at this beautiful home. It remains a stunning property. On arrival, we learned that there was no heat due to HVAC malfunction. The owner supplied space heaters and complimentary fire wood, making himself readily available should we be uncomfortable, which we were not. This home provides for a perfect, relaxing fall getaway. The owners are kind and responsive. We will be back.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. The scenery is beautiful (especially out the back of the cabin!), though it’s not far from town it felt remote and private and the cabin itself easily accommodated our family of 12. Communication was great, check in was easy and seamless and we will definitely be back!
Enjoyed our stay in early November! The house itself is well stocked and laid out conveniently for two couples and our two babies (under 1) who needed their own space for early bedtimes. We didn’t use the fire pit or decks outdoors as the weather didn’t allow but walked down to the river every morning with our coffee. We will definitely be back!
We weathered Hurricane Helene at the cabin and was still able to explore Ellijay and go apple picking. My teenage daughter, three of her friends and I stayed for two nights. The cabin is clean and the beds are comfortable. The location is great for several orchards and proximity to downtown Ellijay. Even with the power out- we were fine. Board games and hide-and-go seek… we will be back.
