About this property

The River Cottage - Pet friendly

A cosy cottage nestled in the garden on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. The cottage has recently been refurbished to accomodate both singles, couples and families - comfortably sleeping up to 6 guests.

The cottage has reverse cycle heating and cooling as well as a wood fire to keep you warm in winter.

The cottage is available for both short and long term stays with a discount applied to week long bookings.

We are pet friendly and the cottage is completely fenced. We are able to accomodate larger animals such as horses if discussed with your hosts prior to your booking being made. We ask that all animals are kept outside of the cottage however we are happy for them to be in the laundry.

Relax at the cottage and enjoy the peaceful surrounds or take a walk and enjoy a picnic on the beautiful Murrumbidgee river. The cottage features a sunny living room and gauzed in verandah for your enjoyment.

While your enjoying your stay make the most of what Darlington Point has to offer with many local attractions including Altina Wildlife Park, the Whitton Malt House and Griffith all within 45 minutes drive. Darlington Point also has two great cafes, italian restaurant and a family friendly pub.

A light continental breakfast is supplied for the first night of your stay and the kitchen is well equipped for you to cook yourselves or make use of the BBQ.

Great spot for a break

Nice quiet country property ,close to the river , just the bitds,kangaroos and a very frendly dog to keep you company. Our second time here and will be back

Cottage charm

This property was one of the most gorgeous places we have stayed. It was bright, inviting and homey, a perfect home away from home. The property was much further out than we were expecting, however, this worked out well. It was lovely to be in a natural environment and away from noises, a secluded little haven. The hosts communicated well and were helpful with information about the town. Will definitely stay again if we go back over that way.

Comfy farm stay

Comfy clean farm stay , we are on a road trip and travelling with our dog, so was great to find a pet friendly enclosed large yard for her to have a good run. Some distance from town so plan meals.

Great family accommodation

Great family accommodation 40 mins from Griffith. Welcoming and comfortable farm house. Log fire, air conditioning, electric blankets and many added touches including coffee pod machine. Great hosts who are close by if needed. Highly recommended!

Peaceful stay amongst nature

We had a three night stay but would have happily stayed longer. Our dogs were very welcome and enjoyed long walks and a swim in the river. We had everything we needed.

Farm Cottage on Murrumbidgee River

Such a lovely location. and a lovely welcome too. Thuis property has been tastefully decorated and it was so easy to settle in. I had my dog with me - she loved the space too!

Slice of country heaven

The perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. Annabel was amazing and had the wood fire going when we arrived, so easy to communicate with and was always there to help if needed. Even allowed us to use their perfect camping place by the river to do some fishing, thank you this was extra special. A big thanks to Alfie for keeping our boys company.

Country Comfort

Annabel was the lovliest host. Communication with her was easy. She was clear in her detail of directions to the Cottage and welcomed us when we arrived. The fireplace was a highlight! We had some very cold nights, but we didn't notice it once the fire was lit. Beds were super comfy. Shower is super hot. One other feature is a very short 100mtr walk to the Murrumbidgee River which runs on the property. I would highly recommend staying at Annabel's Country Cottage.
