September 2017 a machiya style guesthouse Rurian opened

80 years since the machiya was built the building has been renovated to now serve as a guesthouse We accommodate one group per day to stay in this spacious machiya that feels as if you are living in your own home

Rurian have received permission from Kyoto City based on the Hotel and Ryokan Management Law

Guesthouse Kyoto Mills Rurian is a rented inn that opened in the fall of 2018 after renovating a Machiya in the Kyoto Nishijin area

A 10minute walk to Kitano Tenmangu Shrine and a 20minute bus ride to sightseeing spots such as Kinkakuji
