The position at Arcadia right on Alma Bay. On three previous holidays at Magnetic Island we have stayed at Nelly Bay waterfront apartments. This time, being during school holidays, requiring us to walk back to Nelly Bay to catch the bus to Horeshoe Bay, the Forts, and Picnic Bay we found it more convenient to stay at Arcadia and enjoy a more traditional beach holiday. Sitting on the front porch enjoying drinks and nibbles, with visits from the Curlews, was particularly pleasant. The proximity to the Arcadia Village Hotel and the Bikini Tree bistro was a bonus. Would stay there again.

the property was much older than expected - thought there were 2 bedrooms, but in fact a bed in living room was 2nd bedroom. Several cockroaches spotted. No air-conditioning in bedroom. No Wifi. Decor was very dated. Was close to beach so that was a plus. What we enjoyed most was the curlews coming to the glass door. That was very special.
