About the host
Hosted by Hermione

My name is Hermione and it is my pleasure to share with you my family's very special beach house. We have holidayed here since I was a little girl and it is, hands down, my happiest of places.
I am a journalist by trade but currently work in corporate PR in Perth and live with my husband and two beautiful daughters. I have a love of food and wine, and there is no better place to experience the best of what WA has to offer, than the South West.

Why they chose this property
Quitch Cottage is like walking into a warm hug and reminds you to be a kid again. The whimsical garden has been a labor of love for my parents, and is a haven for children to let their imagination run wild. In summer, it is a mere 23 steps to one of the most beautiful, calmest and quietest beaches in the South West. A resident stingray will pass by every evening around 5pm, cruising the shallows in search of food. In winter, a pot belly stove warms every corner of the cottage. The property is far enough away from the bustle of Dunsborough's town centre, but close enough that whatever you need - a litre of milk, a winery lunch, or caving adventure - is close at hand.
