We had a great time and enjoyed the clear, shallow, and sandy bottom and water of Lake Simcoe. The doc was large with ample seating. We loved the interior of the house with so many bathrooms for each room. It was clean inside and many towels were available for us. I would suggest a better clean up of the backyard and deck for guest arrival. As well the hot tub had sand in it and the sauna floor could have been swept. An umbrella at the dock would have been a good addition for anyone who needed some shade. Some instructions about garbage and recycling would have been appreciated. Overall a fun stay! Thanks Anne!
The property is a cute little two bedroom, cozy and nice view. It is very close to the highway which makes the traggic, mostly the trucks and airbrakes very loud. There were empty beer bottles littered around the property as well as broken glass which I stepped on, as well as a chair leg bottom with a tack that embedded itself into my sandal poking the bottom of my foot. There is no frying pan or gas range, oven doesn't work so its bbq, microwave only. There are two propane tanks, but one is empty and the other half full one is the one the cleaning crew (one extremely rude woman) brought in to get exchanged. There is only one dock as well, the brochure is loaded with untruths.I contacted the owner the first night when we found the empty propane tank while lrepping rib eye steaks....I sent three messages on WhatsApp before a response an hour later to repeat exactly what i said on the last message and an apology for not responding saying that he "was down with viral".Do not be fooled by the luxury placed in the description, 2/5 stars at best. Be prepared for an attempted overcharge when you leave. We ensured the home was cleaner then when we arrived (which didn't take much)...but left at 12:30. The 75 an hour charge p/hour for late departure apparently means 300 for a half hour. And dont bother cleaning up, I made sure the cans i had were taken for recycling...I suggest throwing them around the property where the cleaning crew doesnt look for broken glass.
Myslef and 6 friends stayed here for the long weekend. Place was clean well taken care of, had all the untensil you needed and all in good shape. Cookware, coffee and appliance are all new!
River is very calm and peaceful. Host was quick and easy good for a swim or kayaking.
A few friends and I wanted to disconnect from the city and wanted to take a trek out. We found this listing and was immediately captivated by the beautiful imagery. I can tell you all photos live up to the hype in person, such a beautifully furnished stay with all the amenities we needed.
We were worried about sleeping in the secondary house but those who slept in there felt warm and really nothing to be worried about.
Communicating with the host was perfect, great and quick responses and so accommodating as well - truly appreciated all of it.
It was a short time, but it was a great time - even as it gets a bit colder we were still able to kayak. Also we were so close to a small grocery store to pick-up extra things. I'd come back in a heartbeat :)
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this venue- it was the perfect getaway! The host was super friendly and helpful from booking to check-out. The decor is beautifully curated and emanates cozy-chic vibes. The water amenities are a great touch- we canoed, kayaked and paddleboated during our entire stay. We can't wait to come back!
