Excellent for the price

Pros: location is great, on the river and only a short walk to all the restaurants, free parking, unit was clean, roomy, and nice courtyard view from the balcony. Cons: one of the elevators is broken, you have to park on the 6th or 7th floor and the until is on the 2nd, there was another working elevator, the AC wasn’t working when we arrived and I reported it at check in, followed up after dinner and they said it probably wouldn’t get fixed that day, THANKFULLY I got it to work after taking the Nest thermostat off the wall and back on. I would definitely stay there again. I don’t think you can beat the price for that location.

Sweet and Sour

I enjoyed my stay in all areas with the exception of the non-working elevator. I stayed on the 1st floor, yet I had to park on the 7th or 8th floor in the parking garage. It was very tuff walking up 6 to 8 levels of stairs.

Ansentee Ownership

The check in was a disaster. We followed the instructions to retrieve the fob to access the garage and the room from the lockbox, proceed to the 7th or 8th floor of the garage and take the elevator with our luggage to the first floor where our room was located (on one side of the apartment building). The fob did not work so no garage entry. We located someone in the leasing office who discovered that the battery had been installed improperly. We unloaded our luggage and discovered that the elevator was out of order (one resident told us it had been down for more than five months). We hauled everything to the other side of the building where the sole functioning elevator was working, but only as far as the fifth floor. With the helpful assistance of a half dozen residents, we finally located our apartment. The problem here is that ours was a corporate owned property (along with hundreds of others owned by Sonder), with no representative on site or even in the same city. Everything seems to be managed remotely. My computer chat was with someone (I think) who was in Miami and the customer service rep was in a call center in who-knows-where. If Sonder did not know the elevator was broken is bad but knowing it and not informing the customer is worse. It should also be noted, for any future customers at this property, is that the parking garage is packed, with heavy traffic, and extremely tight and almost blind turns. It took us 5/6 minutes just to exit the garage (we timed it). The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, nicely furnished, and well appointed. The location is excellent. (The coffee pot took a half-hour to brew 10 cups and needs to be descaled.) If you can risk being pretty much on your own if something goes wrong, then this may be the place for you.
