This absolutely gorgeous corner residence at Howelsen Place is ideally located in the heart of downtown Steamboat Springs. With sophisticated interior living spaces complimented by dramatic oversized windows which allow an abundance of natural light and plenty of views! This residence also enjoys an expansive floorplan - featuring 2BD / 2BA and an extended deck. The main living area has a large flat screen TV with surround sound, a gas-burning fireplace, wood floors accented by gorgeous rugs, and modern comfortable furniture. The kitchen is well equipped for even the most discerning chef. The master bedroom offers a king bed and an attached bathroom. The second bedroom features a queen bed and there is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The deck has a gas grill, outdoor furniture and great views of the Yampa River and Howelsen Hill making it a great place to view the fireworks during July 4th or Winter Carnival.

H207A owners have installed two brand name Big Ass Ceiling Fans in the living room and master bedroom. The manufacturer claims the fans move air up through ultraviolet light (“UV”) at the fan hubs and that UV light kills 99% of virus loads in the circulating air. If true, that claim may provide some additional comfort these days. Meanwhile, the fans have small white remote controls that allow speed changes and on/off switching. The fans should help circulate warm or conditioned air, especially when afternoon sun is present. Please leave the controllers where you find them.

Located at the site of the famous Harbor Hotel at 7th and Lincoln, this property captures the historical significance of ski jumping by introducing a bronze statue of Carl Howelsen, the one time world record holder for ski jumping and prominent, turn of the century Steamboat Springs resident. Discover what the locals already know. Park your car, ride you bike or walk to where it's happening; restaurants, shops, movies, you name it. When you stay in the heart of downtown you have easy access to almost everything, and the free city bus can whisk you to the mountain during ski season.

We have furnished the apartment to a level of comfort and amenity we think is much better than most, including with the best entertainment and internet access available and superb seating to eat, watch TV or conduct personal business. In short, we have attempted to make you as comfortable as we would our good friends and trust you will care for our property as such.

In exchange, we ask your understanding and attention to our No Pets and No Smoking policies. They are also rules of our Homeowners' Association with which we must comply. If you desire a property that will accommodate your pet or smoking preferences please choose an alternate vacation rental property.

We prefer staying downtown for the food and nightlife and going to the mountain for the day. You can’t beat this location for that and the bus system makes it easy to travel back and forth to the mountain. The bus stop is a 2 minute walk across 7th Street. The unit was clean, well furnished, and the perfect size for our group. The ski locker at the mountain was super convenient and a great benefit to renting from Howelsen Place.

Great location
Our group felt at home in this property. No issues at all with the stay. We only got to enjoy the property for a few days, so with all the fees it was a little pricey. The off-site check in isn’t what we are use to with most rentals, but seems to be a norm in Steamboat.
