About this property

Newly Restored Little Yampa Schoolhouse

School is in session! Enjoy our fully restored and renovated 1900's schoolhouse. One of the original schoolhouses in the Yampa Valley, our schoolhouse is now one of the most unique and special places to stay in Steamboat.
Get away without being away.
Located only 10 minutes to downtown Steamboat, you can be close to all that Steamboat has to offer while still enjoying a quiet escape. Surrounded by fields, we sit on a bluff overlooking the famous Yampa River, Sleeping Giant & Mt. Werner.

Truly one of a kind property. This old schoolhouse has been converted and restored into a magical family home. Complete with 3 bedrooms, a loft, and a luxury kitchen and baths. A wonderful combination of old and new set it an idyllic setting where you can watch bald eagles fly over the Yampa River or enjoy a drink watching the cows come home.

We'll send you the digital lock combination prior to check-in.

We're here to make your stay perfect. With COVID, we are doing virtual check-ins but always available to give you recommendations on things to do in Steamboat or answer any questions.

Pastoral setting with a large yard and parking area. Close to town and on a great road biking route along 33. We're also close to the backside trails on Emerald Mountain which are always less crowded and fantastic hiking and biking options.

You will need to have your own vehicles. Our road is regularly maintained and plowed as is the driveway.

Ski weekend

We had a great stay at the school house. Beautifully renovated, very comfortable and well stocked, great location just outside of town. Perfect stay for a friends ski getaway.

Cozy and Beautiful

The schoolhouse was a fun place for all and impecabibly clean with a gorgeous kitchen. Beautiful place to stay in and enjoy family and great views. Everything was close by if needed and management was so welcoming and helpful.

A charming, cozy spot!

My family and I spent Thanksgiving weekend in this little gem. Beautiful views in every direction. Close enough to town to make it convenient yet far enough away to get that country living feel. The house itself was perfect for us. Our two kids (10 and 8) had a blast in the converted school house. The owners did a great job and it retains a lot of character, while having all the modern amenities you would expect. The Property managers Fergus and Catie were very helpful and super responsive during our stay. We look forward to staying here again!
