About this property

The Pippi Room at Coast Wattle House

If you want a holiday with fresh air, clean beaches and peaceful bushland then you will love this place. Situated between Yamba and the famous Angourie surfing beach on NSW’s beautiful Northern Coast, our Pippi Room has a large bedroom with an adjoined bedroom with bunks to sleep two. We have a trundle bed as well, bringing the total guest capacity up to five. You have your own private balcony looking into the forest which fringes Lake Wooloweyah, and a spacious airy bathroom. PLEASE NOTE THIS SUITE IS ACCESSED BY STAIRS.

DOG FRIENDLY. There is a green sports field across the road at the Community Hall. Although this is a popular dog-walking spot, it is rarely crowded. It has a children's playground and your dog can run, play and chase balls. Yamba has dog-friendly beaches and our closest beach is dog friendly. We are also close walking distance to the Lake’s boat ramp with picnic area. There are so many places to explore. Yamba region is fringed by stunning beaches and the relaxed town centre has many family friendly restaurants and coffee shops to enjoy. Most cafe’s are dog-friendly with outdoor dining. You can also take dogs on the Ferry service which runs across to Iluka and also conducts Clarence River tours.

Please note the base room rate is for the King-sized bedroom. Bunk room guests are charged at $40 per person per night. If two guests book and only require the main room then we may close the bunk room to avoid extra cleaning costs. We include a self-serve continental breakfast with seasonal fruit. You can make tea, coffee and toast in the room. And there is a good bar fridge in your room. We do our best to cater for any special dietary needs for breakfast if you let us know in advance. Wi Fi is free, and there is on-site parking. Your hosts are live-in, on a separate floor, but available if you need anything.

Lovely little area just outside of Yamba

Ruth and her family were welcoming to us and our two pups. We throughly enjoyed our stay and their hospitality. The bed was comfortable and the space is warm and incredibly inviting. Relaxing nature retreat

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay in the Pippi room. The room is very private, surrounded by nature, and you can hear the birds singing in the morning. The room was spotless and spacious, with a lovely balcony to enjoy breakfast with a stunning view. It’s just a short drive to the beach, making it a nice retreat at the end of the day. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and connect with nature.

A lovely location in a rainforest setting. Easy drive to town and dog friendly beaches and cafes. The hosts have thought of everything to make the stay comfortable. My only suggestions (as a retired Interior Designer) would be towel rings on either side of the bathroom mirror, and maybe the inclusion of a small electric BBQ on the balcony. We (and our Labrador) loved it!!

Peaceful Rainforest Setting

My husband and our two toy poodles were made to feel very welcome. We appreciated the well appointed room, extremely comfortable bed and verandah and spacious bathroom. The facility to safely park and charge our electric vehicle were also much appreciated. We would certainly return here.

Absolutely amazing stay with Ruth & John! We stayed with our 3 year old pup and it was perfect. Room is well thought out and practical, location is basically 5 minutes drive from a multitude of quiet and beautiful beaches ( nature walks within walking distance). It was a shared entrance, but we came and went as we pleased with zero problems. We had a beautiful breakfast (provided by the hosts) on the balcony each morning which was a great way to start each day. Everything you need is there. Would love to stay again.

Just so peaceful and beautiful

We loved our stay. We booked very last minute and Ruth was very accommodating to have our room ready in time. The studio is just beautiful. So quiet and peaceful with a lovely aspect of the rainforest. The bed super comfy and the bathroom was great. Our fur baby came along and was welcomed like it was his own home. Thanks so much Ruth and we look forward to returning one day. We highly recommend Ruth’s place to anyone.

Whilst the unit does not have a kitchen absolutely everything has been provided to account for this. If I could give more stars I would. The best bed and pillows, location and view of rainforest sensational, hosts made all sorts of extras available to make our stay special.

Beautiful rainforest retreat

We had an amazing time! Ruth is a fantastic host who made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. She provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and even went above and beyond to accommodate our furry friend. We're so grateful that we were able to bring our dog with us, as it really made our trip complete. The accommodation was clean, cozy and well-equipped, with all the amenities we could have asked for. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in a beautiful setting. Ruth truly cares about her guests, and we can't thank her enough for making our stay so memorable.
