This was a great house for two families to enjoy a long weekend together. Great property with the pool/pool house, beautiful river views, fire pit and thoughtful landscaping to boot. House was great and had everything we needed and more. We all, especially our kids, had an absolute blast. It’s a bit in the middle of no where, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but on Saturday there was a fun market with good food and live music at the marina. We stumbled upon while paddling and they served us orange crushes in the kayaks. Would recommend and will hope to stay here again.

The accommodations and amenities were fabulous for our group of 3 generations. The house and property was large enough for all to enjoy without feeling overcrowded. The house was well furnished to allow home cooked meals every day including the fresh crabs caught on the pier. We would definitely stay here again.

Hi Nathaniel, the homeowner would like to share the following: "We’re very excited that you were able to enjoy a crab dinner! and that you had a wonderful time. Thanks for such a complimentary review. We look forward to hosting you again sometime!"
This property is AMAZING!! The house met and exceeded every expectation. From the spaciousness, cleanliness and breathtaking river views. The screen in porch was a great place for us to just hangout. The pool area was another great space to relax. The
dock with crab pots and water “toys” was great and so was the fire pit. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend!!
Magnificent spot! My family and I went for a weekend getaway to celebrate my birthday and to have some family time (all grownups with busy lives). Our goal was to stay and enjoy each other and the property. The listing was accurate in all that it had available. We had plenty do! I think it would have been a great spot even when our kids were little. We brought our dog (very old and sadly, a matter of time before he goes) and he even seemed at peace here. A lot of extras snd nice touches!!!

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Not quite worth the price
Hard for older adults to work keyless locks with no instructions. # of steps not accurate to pool and dock(said 2)5 to pool,20 or do to dock. Deck and pool rooms not clean.

Marvin, thank you for staying with us. We're sorry that you experienced a few issues that had a negative impact on your stay.
- Accessibility certainly is important. The two steps in our listing refer solely to accessing the house. We will review and clarify this if necessary. When we are made aware of an accessibility issue, we make it our priority to work with our guests to provide ground-level access to the pool through a security gate during their visit. It’s unfortunate we were not aware.
- Most rivers have banks that have to be overcome to get to the water level. While ours is short in comparison, we do have long-spaced steps that turn and have resting ledges to avoid a steep, straight-down staircase.
- The pool bath house rooms are always cleaned before each guest. However, nature often seems to blow leaves and debris under the doors. We are sorry about this.
Thank you for your visit. We wish you would have had a better experience, as many of our guests do.
Our group was my wife and I, our daughter, and our dog. The house and property were perfect for our family. The layout is really great, all one level, and there was plenty of room for everyone and everything. The pictures and the description of the house and property were exactly as described.
The house was really clean, and all of the amenities in the house are up to date, in fact, really high end and well-maintained. The pool was really great, and perfect for a family of all ages, with handrails, and steps into the pool itself. The neighborhood was really quiet, at the end of a dead end road, with barely any traffic. We walked up and down the road daily, and it was wonderful. During our visit, it was HOT, and the AC in the house worked wonderful, thank goodness!
Our entire experience at this property was exactly what we had hoped it would be, and we would not have changed a thing. A trouble-free stay.

Response from owner: "A trouble-free experience is what we strive for with all of our guests. We are so very glad your experience was what you hoped for."
There are so many wonderful things to say about this beautifully maintained property. The positives were 2 dishwashers, 2 ovens, 2 refrigerators (one by the pool), ice machine, lots of seating on outside porches, large pier w/motorized lift platform to get in and out of the water, luckily a backup generator (we had a bad storm while we were there), pool is shallow and great for water walking, beautiful views from the inside and outside, great crab traps, very safe fire pit, most well equipped kitchen we have had in any of our vacation rentals. Blue Birds, hummingbirds, eagles, osprey. Fabulous property. Our only disappointment was the property is advertised with 3 bathrooms but only 2 are inside the house and no master bath. The 3rd is out by the pool. That was difficult with a lot of people. The owner responds quickly to any questions or needs. We highly recommend this property which shows a lot of thought and TLC by the owners.
First trip to the Northern Neck, and we had a lovely time. The area is so peaceful which allowed us to completely decompress during our stay. The house is very well-equipped. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook, grill, or bake just about anything during your stay. The pool is the perfect size for cooling off, with lounge chairs and an umbrella, as well as a bar area and outdoor fridge. There is a screened porch and a large table with an umbrella on the uncovered deck area. There are beautifully landscaped areas and plenty of grass to play in as well. The dock was great for fishing and crabbing and we took the kayaks out several times on the river during our stay. There are 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms in the home - two bedrooms are on the main level and share a large bathroom, and the other two bedrooms are on the entry level and share a smaller bathroom. The third bathroom is actually outdoors in the pool house. Overall the house was wonderful, but renters should be aware that this is probably not an ideal house for those needing accessibility. There are a few steep steps to get into the main section of the home, and both indoor showers are tub showers. There are many steps to get down to the dock, and a few steps are needed to get to the pool area. We had my 82 year old father with us, and did have to assist him at times. Renters should be advised that the area is remote and should bring groceries with them. Would return!
Stop looking and just book it! I’m so glad I did just that. I’ve rented my share of vacation homes and this is the first time I’m sharing my thoughts. Why you ask, because I don’t want you to miss out. This is an inviting home complete with everything you need. Perfect for a large gathering of family and/or friends or a quiet getaway with a few loved ones. I won’t list all the amenities as they are all stated in the listing, there are many and I’ll just say all are represented accurately. There’s also a book with all you need to know about the amenities and how to use/operate.
You’ll find comfortable beds with fabulous pillows. Everything was very clean. You can make anything you might want in the kitchen… It has it all. The grill is hooked to the houses gas so no worries of running out of fuel. There is LOTS of outdoor space and it’s spread out so that even if you’re in a large group you’re not on top of each other.
I was surprised that this home has a very private yard. The homes are NOT on top of each other and trees, shrubs and bushes provide the privacy most vacationers enjoy. Having said that, I must confess I was also pleasantly taken by the locals. I’ve never been waved to more, not even in my own neighborhood. People at the grocery store say “hello”. So while the home and view are inviting enough you actually get the whole package here. People everywhere we’re extremely nice.
The only thing bad about this vacation rental is that all too soon you have to leave it.
I hope you and yours enjoy it as much as we did.

Homeowner's Response: "Wow, a wonderful review! We are so excited that you truly enjoyed every aspect of your stay. We strive to create a peaceful but complete experience for our guests."
A beautiful waterfront home with 2 bedrooms at each end that each have a bathroom to share. Loved the bug free screened porch and the pool and hot tub.
This house is amazingly well maintained, clean and organized!
The layout is great since there are 2 BR's on either side of the living area with a BA between each.
There are so many places to sit and enjoy the sun or the shade, indoors and out and in between (in the screened in porch).
Even though it was late October, I enjoyed the chilly pool followed by the relaxing hot tub.
We are looking forward to coming back again with more family and friends at different seasons to really take advantage of the kayaks, paddle boat, and especially the lovely pool with it's wonderful changing rooms, bar, etc. It really is the perfect large family get together house!
What a perfect way to close out the Summer Season. This Waterfront property was all we could hope for. The house itself is absolutely beautiful and very easily accessible for the elderly. Split off into two separate wings, the house is great for multiple families or families with younger and older kids. The views of the River are magnificent and visible from all around, even when swimming in the pool. The house has everything you need for an extended stay with an added bonus of catching crabs at the dock. We were thrilled to catch fresh blue crabs every day. 5 Star vacation!
This Kinsale house was perfect for our annual friends trip! We didn't know much about the area & the host was super responsive pre-arrival with info. The house itself was gorgeous & well maintained. We took advantage of the outdoor space! There are so many cute & thoughtful personal touches throughout the house that show the care the hosts have for a successful stay. The kitchen was the best equipped of any of the rentals we've done. We had extensive cooking plans each night & the kitchen was stocked with appliances & such. There is also a great winery nearby (Rivah, 1 mile) that had live music & the owners were very welcoming. Definitely recommend & would come back!

Fantastic waterfront home!
We had a perfect long weekend at this beautiful waterfront home. It has all the amenities of home -- well stocked kitchen with all the equipment you need, riverfront pool, fire pit, amazing outdoor space. Comfortable beds and quiet, spread-out living spaces. The host Jackie was incredibly responsive and even acted quickly to resolve a wifi issue within 24 hours. She is the best! We can't speak highly enough about this beautiful home. Kayaking, relaxing on the dock or by the pool, or enjoying a massive waterfront porch, including screened in area for evenings. Can't wait to come back!
