Spectacular, gorgeous house in prime location
If you’ve never been to Breck before, it’s hard to get a sense of where exactly your ski in / ski out accomodation is situated in relation to the rest of the mountain. Well, it doesn’t get any better than this place. You ski home right from the top of the main lift on a cruisy blue/green slope, and straight up to the front door. In the morning, it’s less than a minute to the trail and you’ll find yourself at the bottom of 4 chairlifts that get you all across the resort.
The house itself is incredible. Extremely comfortable and luxuriously appointed, it accommodated our group of 12 (6 couples) very easily. It has everything you could want - from top-notch kitchenware (including 2 ovens and 2 dishwashers for big meals at home) to sumptuous bathrooms and a state-of-the-art hot tub on a heated deck.
The wifi is fast, the Bluetooth music system has speakers built into every room of the house (including out by the hot tub), the sofas and beds are incredibly comfortable, and the set-up for ski gear is first rate, with plenty of secure ski racks, helmet racks, and a heated boot room. Sitting in the gorgeous great room or lying in one of the Master suites you can look out over snow capped peaks while sipping your hot chocolate.
The biggest problem with the house was motivating ourselves to get back out on the snow after skiing in for lunch by the fire.
Dave is a wonderful host who was responsive, helpful, and very easy to deal with. All 12 of us would stay here again in a heartbeat.
