Property is located 30 miles from Yellowstone, 1 1/2hrs from Jackson hole and Grand Tetons. There's a store with a Grill nearby. Cabin is really nice, plenty of room, quite. Makes for a really relaxing stay.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Grandpa's Cabin had most everything that we could possibly need for our stay. It was nicely furnished with an up-to-date television set-up for the youngsters. The owner was very helpful (and quick) about answering any questions. Our whole experience staying there was a pleasure. Not one complaint!
We spent a long weekend here to visit Yellowstone. It was myself, my wife, and my one year old daughter. The cabin was nice and just as described. It had plenty of room for us to relax after long days in the park. It was a short drive to Yellowstone, we were very glad we picked this cabin. Also, the kitchen had plenty of pots and pans for any cooking you would want to do which was a plus. I would highly recommend, and we’d gladly stay here again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin retreat! From the moment we booked, the host was incredibly proactive—providing all the necessary information well in advance and making sure we felt prepared and welcomed. Communication was smooth and timely, and any questions we had were answered with genuine care. The host was not only helpful but also extremely cooperative, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Every instruction—from check-in to using amenities—was clearly laid out in the house, which made everything effortless and stress-free.The cabin itself was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped. It truly felt like a home away from home. We appreciated the attention to detail and the peaceful surroundings that made our stay relaxing and memorable.Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a hassle-free and enjoyable getaway!
Everything you need and more. Well furnished secluded cabin. We looked for an area we could go to after a long day in the mountains and this delivered. A bit musty smell on the front porch area but pretty comfortable and clean otherwise. I did take all of my own bedding from sheets to blankets and pillows...I was glad I did. Nothing like crawling into to my own bed. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to others. We so enjoyed seeing a bear right outside one morning too!
As a mom who had 4 kids from 2-12 years old, we love to go glamping in the woods. This cozy cabin was the perfect combo getaway for anyone who likes their electricity and hot water showers but also wants to step into a more primal part of living. The electric oven was a PLUS! And Mark was a phenomenal host with communication. Highly recommend
This cabin was a welcome change after a few days of camping! It smelled a bit musty when we first walked in and I don't know if we just got used to it or if the air purifier and opening doors remedied it. My partner is tall (6'6") and had to duck under everything, so keep that in mind if someone in your party is tall. Overall we were very happy with the cabin and enjoyed our stay, and we really appreciated the cold waters in the fridge and laundry detergent already in the laundry room!
The cabin is cute and cozy. There were more neighbors than I anticipated and you should know beforehand that you have to conserve water or it will run out.

Exceeded every expectation
I loved this cabin! Mark is a kind host and had a well furnished and a spotlessly clean cabin for us. This cabin loves bigger than it looks and is located right by all the fun stuff in Island Park. It’s just enough off the main road that you don’t hear the vehicles but close enough that everything is right there. Highly recommended

Quiet, well stocked cabin with lots of charm.
This cabin is filled with rustic, personal details that I really enjoyed. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals - plenty of utensils, pots and pans, and spices, etc. There is a phone signal booster in the cabin, and the internet is fast. The beds were comfortable too.
There are some other cabins around, but the location was very quiet and felt secluded - perfect for a getaway.
The cabin is not far off a paved road, but the driveway is narrow and has a small hill - I would definitely heed the owner's advice about having all-wheel drive in the winter.
The owner is very friendly and accommodating, and the location is great if you want to split your time between West Yellowstone and the Tetons.
Enjoyed my visit, and look forward to returning in the future.
The cabin was very nice and some essentials like laundry soap.plenty of room for Me, my husband and son. Wifi worked great. Central located. We went to Grand Teton, cody and Garnier as well. Perfect base camp. I would definitely recommend
Nice little cabin! We really enjoyed our 4 day stay at “Grandpa’s Cabin”. It was very homey so very, very clean. We felt like welcomed guests. The host was easy to communicate with via direct text
The neighborhood was also so quiet we were able to sleep very well. I would definitely recommend Grandpa’s Cabin!
