About this property

Glut Farm | Eco luxury Vineyard Farmstay

This contemporary farmhouse on a 100 acre property accommodates up to seven people in the tranquil setting of the Mt Cole state forest.

Ideal for families, friends or couples to escape the stress and bustle of city life to digitally detox, reconnect and recharge or even a romantic couples weekend.

A two hour drive from Melbourne and 15 minutes from the township of Beaufort.

Make yourself at home and wander through the extensive kitchen garden to pick your ingredients fresh for dinner. Then dine alfresco on the front deck while watching the kangaroos graze in the paddock and the sun go down behind the mount.

This property is ideally located for taking on many of the tranquil Mt Cole hiking and mountain bike trails, including the renowned Beeripmo Trail. We highly recommend the 2.6km walk to Raglan falls to get you started. Download the Alltrails app to find a list of hiking trails in Mt Cole.

If hiking is not your thing, why not just explore this 100 acre property, which is home to many kangaroos, echidnas, kookaburras and various other Australian wildlife. Keen bird-watchers bring your binoculars as there are more than 130 species of birds spotted in the Mt Cole forest.

All linen is included.

Guest access
When you book The Glut Farm, the 100 acre property is yours to explore during your stay.

Glut Farm is a working farm and farms require regular work and maintenance. Depending on your booking dates, you may see us tending to the vineyards, sheep, chickens or harvest garden. Everything needs to be watered, feed and maintained in order for it to stay healthy and looking lovely.

We value everyone's privacy and we will do our best carry out the farm jobs as discreetly as possible, so not as to disturb your stay or impose on your space. We want you to feel free to explore the farm and enjoy the gardens.

Equally, if you are interested in what we are doing on the farm, you are most welcome to come say "Hi!" and we will be happy to explain why we do what we do.

Host profile image
Evolving from our livelihood of city and rural home builds and renovations over the past 35 years, My husband and I have designed, built and grown a luxurious rural property from a bare paddock. We are working towards a self-sustainable and eco-friendly life. The vegetable garden, fruit orchard and chooks provide the majority of our fresh produce and the sheep provide the meat we eat. Electricity on the property is hybrid, and provided by the sun when weather permits. We are passionate about our beautiful property and life and we are excited to be able to share it with others.
