Loved the Cabin! Mgmt company was great when a storm came in and power was out for about 2 hours. We had everythig we needed, beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
Location was very convenient to all activities we had planned. Having the pool table and dart board was an added bonus for the family. We all enjoyed our stay.
Plenty of space for all to enjoy! Close to everything and comfortable to relax as needed. Was really great for the kids and had all we needed to cook ourselves meals on nights we didn’t want to go in town.
Overall great stay. Cabin fans and lights were dusty, and the trash was full when we arrived.

Everything you could want
This cabin is awesome! It's about 10 min from downtown but is felt super secluded, which my group loved! The pool table and other games provided plenty of entertainment. We brought an ice cream cake which didn't fit in the kitchen freezer but did fit in the basement freezer so that was a great find!
This place was a great home base for activities in Pagosa, Durango, and the surrounding areas. The only missing amenity would have been a hot tub, this could really put this place over the top.
As others mentioned, noise from floors above is loud, but that is part of staying in a log cabin. We got used to it by the second night and the fandeliers in the rooms help with the noise and comfort.
Our stay was great at this beautiful cabin!
Upon arrival, the door code wasn’t working, but we got fast, easy, and friendly contact with costumer service and got it fixed immediately!
The cabin is beautiful and very spacious. It is equipped in case plans are to cook there!
Although we were expecting for it have a hot tub (as listed on Vrbo and when booking), unfortunately there wasn’t one in the home.
Location is great! Pretty close to the city center and about 10-15 minutes from the springs! The cabin also has a lot of privacy since there is no neighbors anywhere close!
Overall, a great experience and our family is definitely looking forward in booking again!
Overall, good location but the attention to detail was lacking and the pool table is a hot mess. There were cobwebs in the light fixtures in the kitchen, lots of light switches to try to figure out what goes to what, lack of towels, empty body wash container in one bathroom, fireplace didn't work and we had to have someone come out and they took quite a while to get there. Plastic wine glasses - We aren't in our 20s- no rugs anywhere so not very cozy. Floor left my socks dirty. Almost no seasonings in the kitchen so we had to get our own in order to cook. Lots of emphasis on being quiet inside and out of house (house is very far from anyone else).

Few issues
Main heat did not work from check in. Property manager came by to reset breakers, that did not help. Was not contacted until the afternoon the morning before leaving . Was pointless, at that point, and we were not around for someone to come in, nor were we changing our plans to sit around for someone to come out. Due to the breaker reset, it caused all Netflix Xbox pre log-ins to log out. I sent a message/text to the property manager for a password, that went completely ignored. The floors have no insulation, you can hear everything. Every time someone walked moved or talked. Sounded like elephants stomping around, and it was my 2 year old grandson.

Hi Carol, we wanted to pass along the following feedback from the homeowners: "We are sorry to hear you were less than thrilled with your stay. Unfortunately, on the day of check in, Pagosa Springs experienced an area-wide power outage due to heavy snowfall. Though power came back on, this caused the living room heater to malfunction. Due to heavy demand and this occurring on a weekend, an electrician was not able to come out immediately. The living room has a back up heat supply that guests can use at all times. However, in order to ensure adequate heat, we bought and set up four space heaters for the living room as extra heat. At no time was the living room without heat. The rest of the house had primary heat the entire time.
We didn’t receive a message about the passwords and we were in contact with you throughout your stay. When we checked the systems after checkout and receiving this review, the accounts were still logged in. You may have been trying to use the Xbox to sign into Netflix, where the account is directly on the Smart TV (directions on how to use the entertainment systems are in our guide book on site).
This is a real wood log cabin, so the wood does not cushion sound like other materials might, however it’s not loud with normal walking around."
The Lazy Beaver cabin is a lovely spacious cabin. The location is great, and the property is beautiful. There was plenty of room and comfortably slept 8 of us. It was warm and had very nice views. We also appreciated having the driveway plowed after the heavy snow.
There are a few things keeping this from a five-start rating.
The flooring was problematic. Normal walking around in the second-floor bedrooms could be heard quite clearly in the lower-level master bedroom, particularly at night. When someone would get up to go to the bathroom, etc. you could hear every single step. I’m sure this is related to it being a log cabin and a different insulation process, but it is incredibly loud when trying to sleep. In addition, most of us found the ultra-firm pillows provided uncomfortable for sleeping.
The other less-than-5-star issue (a much easier fix), is the lack of conveniences, particularly in the kitchen. We found hot chocolate mix, pepper and a seasoning blend - that’s it - no salt, sugar, cooking oil/spray, etc. There was no lighter or matches for the candle we brought and the two that were provided in the cabin and no foil, plastic wrap, etc. that would have made things much easier in terms of food prep. The oven was filthy and smoked up the cabin, and there were only two dishwasher pods, which for a cabin that sleeps 10, two loads of dishes seems unrealistic. Because we were unable to run the dishwasher as needed, we had to wash dishes by hand, however, with only a dish cloth provided (no sponge/scrub brush), cleaning some of the pots and pans was a chore. The photos show a coffee maker with a K-cup option, but the required insert was missing, thus K-cups could not be used. We also could not find a shovel to deal with snow, which would have been very nice.
Recognizing that the flooring would be a challenging resolution, a focus on the little things, would have made the experience much better, and increased the star rating. This is an amazing cabin with a ton of potential.
Great location, spotless, friendly host, incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend this host .

Nice house with a few issues
The house is very nice and located in a beautiful area.
We did enjoy our stay but we did notice a couple of issues that everyone renting it should know… the master bedroom: you can hear every single step coming from the room just above, hese are not little noises but very loud wood floor noises, this means whoever sleeps in the master bedroom will have to go to sleep after the above room users have gone to bed and you will hear loudly anyone getting up from bed. Very very annoying.
As well, we struggled with the curtains im every room and bathroom. These are rolling curtains that are too cheap and do not work well, hard to make them go up at all. The owners should really change these.
Otherwise, the house is great, the local support, Heather was awesome to connect with and address our concerns while we were there.
If the above two issues were solved this would be a dream lodge/cabin to stay at.
This is a beautiful, comfortable home. We enjoyed our stay here. Upon arrival, 2 of the 3 propane tanks were empty. After emailing and texting, they came by and filled them up for us so we could use the grill and the fire pit. It was plenty spacious for our family, and we even had an empty room. There is a pack and play there as well if you have littles. Highly recommend staying here.
We had ten family members staying at the cabin for our annual Colorado vacation. The cabin was clean, well-stocked, and beautiful. We had no issues with anything while we were there. It's close enough to be convenient to town, but once you're there you would never know it. We loved it and would stay again if we decide to stay in Pagosa Springs again. A fitted sheet for the air mattress would have been good, but everything else was stocked. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin.
This property met our expectations. We had a great time. The grandchildren didn't want to leave.
