We had a great stay at the property for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Alex was a great host, and the property was really well appointed and very private. We loved the peaceful location, wandered down to the wharf at the end of the street for a drink and snack at sunset, and an easy and beautiful walk in to Bundeena for coffee.

The accomodation was even more lovely than the photos. It feels very fancy, yet homely! The space is bright and sun-filled, with a beautiful private garden. It’s a lovely place to stay in to cook, drink, read, hangout with and relax in the garden area. The location was speculated and private. We saw a bandicoot one night in the yard at night.

As a guide, I help participants rediscover their connection with nature—a connection many of us yearn for but have lost in our busy, urban lives. For me, nature is a source of vitality, grounding, and fulfilment, and I believe it can bring profound benefits to our health and well-being. My mission is to offer others the chance to reconnect with the natural world, whether through an immersive experience lasting a few days or a peaceful walk for a few hours.

This location is an excellent base for accessing local activities such as, swimming kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and all water sports (5-minute walk away). Other local activities include bush walks, cycling, mountain biking trails, and observing local birds and native wildlife.

Nearby beaches such as Maianbar spit (10-minute walk from Garden Studio), Bonnievale, Hordern’s, Jibbon, and Wattamolla offer many opportunities for swimming, and the local surf break is nearby at Cronulla (40 min drive).

There is a full supermarket, bottle store, local clubs, cafés and takeaways in nearby Bundeena (10 min drive, 40 min walk). Please be aware Uber Eats and other food delivery companies often do not provide service to Maianbar.
