South Swell Tofino formerly Blue Heron Waterfront home amid old growth cedars

South Swell (formerly Blue Heron Guest House) is a 3 bedroom custom built home overlooking Jensen's Bay in Tofino. Exceptional wood detailing, skylights, vaulted ceilings, private hot tub, outdoor hot water shower and gas fireplace.
Deck off main living area with propane BBQ.

An inlet waterfront retreat situated on 1.5 acres and an easy, 5 minute walk from South Chesterman Beach.

A seating area at water's edge is a great place enjoy a quiet cup of coffee in the early morning and a perfect vantage point for sighting eagles, herons and other bird species. Occasionally you may spot a bear foraging across the tidal flats.

Guest House includes a well stocked kitchen and pantry offering a wide variety of oils/vinegars & spices. Drip coffee maker (coffee and filters supplied), French press and espresso machine with beans grinder available.

Towering cedars complement the property. Nearby Chesterman Beach is ideal for surfing, exploring, beach combing, dog walks or an early evening stroll to take in the iconic West Coast sunsets.

Tofino is 5km away and accessed by road or a well maintained, paved, multi-use path. The path connects Tofino and the town of Ucluelet and provides ready access to beaches and Pacific Rim National Park.

Just up the road (1184 Pacific Rim Hwy) is a collection of shops for groceries, yoga, surf rentals, great local food (Wildside Grill & Tacofino), coffee/espresso/baked goods (The Tofitian) and chocolate .....Tofino style.

The town of Tofino is a short drive (5 km) so a car would be ideal. In summer, a free (and surfboard friendly!) shuttle service runs between Tofino and Cox Bay. You can hop on and off at several points along the route, including 2 stops close by.

This rental is perfect for a quiet retreat or family vacation - ideally suited for 4-6 guests.

Awesome property. Exceeded our expectations as photos don’t do it justice! Great location and very well thought out. Kitchen is so well stocked. Could do with a pantry for our provisions but apart from that everything you could think of and more! All the bedrooms are gorgeous as the bathrooms have beautiful soaps and bath products.Outside is so pretty.Hot tub is fab and shower area for post surf is great. Thanks and we will be back!!

My family and I absolutely loved staying at South Swell. Super well set up, and just a quick walk to Chesterman’s. Kelly was lovely to communicate with and everything we needed was in this beautiful place. We would definitely come back and will recommend to friends.

Couldn’t have imagined a more perfect stay in Tofino. Beautiful beautiful home supremely comfortable beds and linens, a loaded kitchen, a quick walk to prime beach. Caught great waves for beginner surfers. Hot tub was a bonus and the cute morning coffee area overlooking an inlet that changed with the tides. We loved every minute and dream to return very soon

Magical Tofino Property

My family of 4 spent 5 nights here and had the best time. The house was so comfortable and every little detail was thought of. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable bedding, plenty of towels and blankets. And the hot tub was lovely in the evenings! We loved the area - ate some amazing food, surfed, hiked, went whale watching. It was our first time in Tofino and we would love to return again!

Incredible Retreat
