About this property
Clayfield House on acreage 10 minutes from beaches
“Clayfield “ is an original ‘Queenslander’ home that has been lovingly restored and transported to its new home on creek side acreage in the Tallebudgera hinterland. Original features of pressed metal ceilings, original timber floors and French doors opening out from every room onto covered verandas are part of its charm. A beautiful new kitchen with dishwasher, Majestic fridge and Nespresso coffee machine, has bifold windows to open onto the under cover outdoor dining/ lounge room and original windows look out over the pet cows and chickens towards the creek and hills beyond. A separate lounge with smart TV and Sonos speakers provide a wonderful space to relax as do the window seat and comfortable lounge chairs on the wraparound verandah. A restored claw foot bath sits proudly in the new bathroom and a rustic bathhouse has been built to house an outdoor clawfoot bath perfect to enjoy the serenity with a glass of wine. An original ‘outhouse’ feel has been maintained with a separate, additional loo on the verandah. Ideal for a romantic couples retreat or a small group of 4 guests looking for a picturesque getaway that is still only 10 minutes to world class beaches.

Starting at Clayfield in Tallebudgera was literally bliss. The house is immaculate and the surrounding farm and valley views are a small slice of heaven. It really is a short drive to the beach, there are shops just 2kms down the road for supplies, and it is close enough to major national parks that you have everything at your fingertips. And on cold nights, the heater easily warms up the entire house. The host, Angie, is very responsive. Can’t recommend it enough, and will be back again.
A big thank you to Angie for our tranquil stay at Clayfield House a beautiful restored old Queenslander in the Tallebudgera Hinterland area. It was a short drive to the beach and local hotspots and we luckily also took in some the recommended local restaurants. We were extremely happy to be the first couple to stay here, the house has been beautifully finished with well appointed rooms a clawfoot bath and wrap around verandah and is rested on top of a hill with beautiful views. Nearby on the property were horses, cows and plenty of ducks in the pond which sets a surreal backdrop. We also took up a personal yoga class from Angie which we both found calming and enjoyable. We would highly recommend Clayfield House for a romantic, or simply for a peaceful getaway and will definitely be back. Sonya and Luke.
An immaculate Queenslander with nostalgia in every corner
A stunning restoration & immaculately presented
Enhanced with the modern amenities
Is a nostalgia trip with all the mod cons
Well worth a stay for those who appreciate
We had the most amazing time at CLAYFIELD. You could tell it was Angie’s dream to create something so special as nothing was spared. Highly recommend if you want to stay away from the hustle of the coast but still close enough to visit. The house itself is so beautiful you could spend your whole time there. Loved it!
Absolutely stunning property, views to die for and the house is immaculate, kitchen is gorgeous with a wonderful deck and barbecue. Very much enjoyed our stay here, loved the cattle and horses and of course the baby chicks and duckling. Five minutes to the shops and 10 minutes to the beach, what a spectacular property, loved our stay will be back. Highly recommend
