A Gas BBQ Grill provided free of charge. Guests must clean and empty the drip pan after each use. Guest must replace the gas propane tank if needed.

NOW Pet Friendly! $50 Pet Fee (per pet, plus tax). Pets must be approved before Arrival. Unfortunately, no pets are allowed at the resort. Maximum of 2 pets allowed.

No commercial or recreational vehicles, including (but not limited to) tractor trailers, cabs, boats, personal watercraft, recreational vehicles, trailers of any kind, including (but not limited to) hitch trailers, 5th wheel trailers, and gooseneck trailers; or any vehicle that is hauled on a trailer can be parked on property overnight.

Limit of 4 vehicles per reservation.

Pool doors are equipped with chimed alarms as a part of the alarm system to ensure young children are safe. Please DO NOT disable these chimes! Children must be supervised at all times. Chimes must be active upon check-out.


Pool heating is $35 per day and must be requested and paid in advance. Heating is required to be on for the entire stay. (Minimum 3-nights required if your stay is shorter). Pool heaters are typically set between 88F and 90F, while spas (if available) are set to 104F. Pool heating required for spas to heat up as hot tubs.

*Pool disclaimer: No specific regular pool temperature can be guaranteed by this service. During and after cold fronts, or in winter generally when days are short, pool heaters may struggle, or even be unable to keep the water at the same temperature until the weather gets warmer. The optional pool heater service must be ordered and paid before our service personnel can turn it on. We suggest ordering pool heat prior (72 to 48 hours) to your arrival. Without optional pool heat, pool temperatures can go down to 52 to 60°F in December to March, depending on the weather. The pool heater will help to warm up the pool faster when it gets warmer outside, however, you should not expect “bathtub temperatures” during, or after Central Florida winter cold fronts or cold nights.

*Unfortunately, we are unable to activate / deactivate the pool heater on short notice or provide refunds for previously ordered pool heater service, but we will try our best to accommodate you. We reserve the right to make pool heat unavailable at any time for maintenance or repairs. In case of a technical malfunction, we will refund the pool heat charge for the time the heating service was not available to you. No further credit can be given if pool equipment fails or is unavailable for any reason.

Our stay was warm and welcoming and the house was very cozy and inviting and the manger was very helpful the house was clean and so were the beds something I wish they had which would be nice is Pool lounge chairs that had cushions to lay by the pool or a couch outside… Also a softer more friendly couch downstairs since that where u hang out When u are eating dinner or coming in and out from outside I wish the ice machine worked overall very nice stay

Christmas vacation

Rental process was easy and Wanda responded within 24 hours when our code wouldn’t wouldn’t work for the clubhouse. Overall the property could use some updating. The carpet is worn throughout the house, game room almost everything broken, the grill should be lit on fire itself, only 1/2 the burners on the stove work, water pressure (might as well hope it rains or use the pool as your bathtub), and the beds are extra hard. Our trip landed during New Year’s Eve leading to many parties in the neighborhood lasting until 5am with blaring music and firework debris all over everyone’s vehicles. Be prepared for heavy traffic getting in and out of the resort.

TOP NOTCH HONEYMOON STAY!!!

This condo is perfect in every way! I have family on Maui and I like to stay in the Kihei area and at Kamaole Sands every time we come. I am also particular about where I stay when I travel. This lived up to everything that I like or would want in a condo. The bed is super comfortable which you don't find everywhere. Some of my family came over and we cooked the fish they had caught that day in the best kitchen any cook would agree. My aunty and I kept going on about how we loved cooking in it because we had everything we needed and then some. Its nice to have those conveniences when your away and you don't have to worry about not having something you may need. Another favorite of mine is that its close to the end of the building so you can just walk right across the street to the beach. Everything is there that you would need so we packed a cooler and walked over and snorkeled. This condo was comfortable, luxurious and convenient and we will definitely be staying there as long as its open! Thank you so much for the wonderful condo for our 11 day honeymoon!

Poor communication

I’ll start with the bad- we arrived on Friday. We tried to use the hot tub that night it wouldn’t work. I had to send numerous messages, emails, and phone calls. I finally called again on Monday and Connie stated she would help me. Never heard back from her. Again called on Tuesday finally talked to Wanda. Again was told she would help us get this fixed and would call me back with an update. Again no reply. Finally on Wednesday she called to tell me that the hot tub was broken and it won’t be fixed before we leave. She was nice enough to refund our pool heating charge. When you pay for the pool to be heated it’s only heated for 12 hours a day. So the pool is very cold in the morning and takes hours to get warm enough to swim. This was a huge damper on our trip on top of the hot tub not working. The house was very big and spacious. We all had plenary of room. The down stairs master bed was broken on the middle The outdoor patio table all the chairs were ripping or bent. The grill was usable but a rusty mess. The pool lounge chairs were very small and uncomfortable. The plus in the queen room bathroom didn’t work. Very minimal kitchen pots/pans/ skillets a house for that many people needs more cooking ability. overall it was a nice house but I would not stay here again. I spoke with other renters in the neighborhood and found much better deals and options.

Space enough for 12!

Overall we loved the property. The downstairs bed was awful and definitely needed more pots and pans for 12 people to cook for all at once. Didn't have a can opener so we had to go to a neighbors and the knives weren't sharp enough to cut through anything. Besides those few minor things we were able to get around we loved the house.

The home and community was very clean and maintained well.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The only thing that I have concerns about is the system that's in place for contacting the staff for concerns and the timeframe that a return call comes back(if there is one) However, the staff was very pleasant and helpful when they could be reached. Overall, the trip was worth the time and money.

Lovely suburban location-watch for sharp pool floor

Comfortable 5-bedroom home. Private pool was spectacular. We splurged for heating. Unfortunately, I had to buy water shoes for the family because the pool floor was sharp and cut our feet. Make sure to bring supplies: trash bags. Laundry detergent. Hand soap. Pool chairs do not have cushions, but we used towels to cover them. Inspiite of this, we had a very enjoyable stay.

AVOID! Three-Part Review (Property + Management + VRBO)

Please read both parts of this review because my experience with the property was vastly different than my experience with Alpha Vacations. The property itself is wonderful. The public pools, waterslide, lazy river, etc., were all open. They were still working out some kinks (e.g., long lines for food and drink, lack of lifeguards and facility supervision), but it was still great. The pool at the house was great, too. And the house itself had plenty of room for 6 adults and two children (ages 11-80). A few things that would make it better: 1. Let people know that the hot tub only warms up when the jets are on. Might want to put them on 30 minutes before planning to get in! 2. I don't expect much, but the "extras" were exceptionally slim. Ex. One extra blanker, one fan, three dishwasher pods, and not even a single laundry pod as a start (even though you are supposed to wash your sheets before leaving). They also appear to throw out any basic that are left behind, like salt and pepper. Maybe that's a COVID thing, but I'm use to rentals having a few things like that. 3. Biggest thing is that they need to head to Target or something and upgrade the kitchen essentials. For example: * There was no can opener * There were only a couple pool-friendly plastic cups * All the plastic bowls and plates say "Not microwave safe" * The largest frying pan was probably 10" It would only cost $100 or so to get those + another fan and blanker, and it would make a big difference. So in the end, the house gets an A-. Unfortunately, I would never rent it again due to the horrible "management." After 48 hours of trying to get ahold of Wanda at Alpha Vacations, we finally got our door code at 3:45 for a 4:00 p.m. check-in. That caused a lot of stress and also meant that we couldn't go grocery shopping before hand because we were afraid everything would melt in the car. You have to call an answering service that tells you they will pass the message on to Wanda and that she would call you back. That almost never happened. When I finally did get ahold of her, she totally blew it off and almost seemed to think it was funny that we were stressed about getting the door code. I would NEVER rent anything managed by Alpha Vacations again! F! One final thing: VRBO was no help at all. Customer service said they were only an advertising site, and that I should avoid renting their properties that had a management company and should only rent from owners. D-!

Would not stay here again. 1. Pool heat was not on when we arrived- took 48 hours to be swimmable. Asked for partial refund on pool heat- no response. 2. We couldn't find any pot holders/oven mitts. That might be a nice addition to the home. 3. The grill igniter doesn't work and there was no lighter available so we had to use paper to take fire from the gas stove inside to light the grill outside. 4. The house and pool side were also not super clean- we found many small rubberbands and a used bandaid poolside, and in the mermaid twin bedroom, there is a chunk of something embedded in the carpet (food stain?) And the stairway carpet and most furniture (indoor and outdoor) was worn and dirty. Moldy pool toys were found in the poolside bin. 5. There was no cover on the ironing board- just plain metal. 6. The number of pool towels was very low compared to other places that we have stayed. (8 towels, for 8 guests). We had to wash them nightly. 7. One positive is that we liked the function of the plastic plates and the quantity. Nice for poolside meals. Overall, would not stay here again. We stayed at Solterra before and this has certainly not been the best of all the properties where we have stayed. We expected more for the price. Michelle

Nice and spacious

Great for sleeping 2 couples and 6 kids. Everyone had plenty of space. Game room gave the kids something to do when the afternoon thundershowers came through. If you want to cook something in a large sauté pan, make sure to bring one with you. The pans are very small. Lots of dishes for meal time though!

As a family of 4 it worked great for us!! The only thing we were missing was watching the sunset from the lanai as we like to sit and have dinner and watch it but we ended up going to the condos next door And having dinner there most of the time to watch it so all in all it worked perfect. The condo itself has literally everything you need, highly recommend it!!

We wished we had stayed here!

My parents rented this unit for a spring break holiday we all went on last month. We ate many meals with them in their condo (we were staying in another unit in Bldg 8) and our two children had a sleepover on the pull out couch with them one night. I can not stress enough how beautiful this unit was! It was immaculately clean and had all the amenites you could think of. The kids said the queen sized pull out was super comfy! The unit we rented was shabby and dirty. When we return to maui we will definetely be renting this unit and will be recommending it to our friends as well.

Amazing Experience Every time

My husband and I have stayed at this AMAZING condo twice now. Our most recent time was in October 2012. The updates were spectacular... a wonderful master bedroom, updated granite modern kitchen and bath and a welcoming, comfortable home. In addition to the gorgeous accommodations, the condo has all the necessary beach necessities - chairs, boogie boards, coolers, etc. We are already looking to book our 2013 trip!

Fantastic Condo

This was our first trip to Maui and what an awesome experience it was. Did all the fun things to do on the Island. Our condo was a 5 star all the way. Beautiful kitchen. Well furnished even with the beach toys. Nice decor and very clean. The owners were always very helpful with any questions we had. If we ever go to Maui again will be definitely booking this unit. Highly recommended.

Solterra features its own club house (with free access) to large swimming pools (complete with a water slide!), a spa, 24-hour fitness center, business center, Volleyball Courts and Tennis & Basketball Courts, a soccer (football) goal, as well as a children's playground and picnic areas.
