About the host
Hosted by Louise Curtis-Smith
Hello all,
let me tell you a little about ourselves.
My name is Lou and I am Mum to Bella, Toli and Pati. The reason our home is available for holiday let is we are adventuring in our caravan for 12 months and seeing what this great country has to offer. We love our garden and are slowly converting the ornamental elements into ones that provide food and medicine. We invite you to gather the herbs and depending on the season, possibly some fruit or vegetables.
We hope you enjoy your stay at The Robyn's Nest.

Why they chose this property
I want to share with you why we have titled our listing The Robyn's Nest. This is in honour of my Mum aka Mama to my kids and all the neighbourhood kids. This was her place before she was taken from us via cancer in 2013. Mum was the kind of woman who welcomed everyone into her home with open arms. As kids, my siblings and I grew up alongside many other kids whom she provided respite and a nurturing home to. It seemed only fitting that we name our listing of our warm, welcoming home after her and the metaphor of a nest. We want our guests to feel right at home and nestle in for a wonderful stay. Please admire the sculpture in the garden, created by local artist Camille Monet, which was commissioned as a memorial for Mum. It captures her image as a tree sending roots to the earth grounding us all, as she cradles all five of her kids in the branches. The branches support the bird bath on top welcoming birds to drink and bathe.
We have been slowly transforming our little pad of paradise into our permacultural haven. We are blessed to live so close to the beach and enjoy the balance between productive garden and pure enjoyment. We hope you do too!

What makes this property unique
The undercover eating area here at The Robyn’s Nest is a real bonus. It allows you to truly experience the garden whilst also being comfortable to share a meal with your family and friends. The garden has many sections and wraps around the whilst house. It’s so fun to watch the kids run and explore all the little pockets.
