The property was very clean and had all the basics re what was needed ie: kitchen had all basic needs, towels , linen etc.
There was little communication re check-in process and expectations, which caused a little anxiety as we headed towards our destination.
We were told when we called the host, upon arrival that there was a studio out the back and that other people were coming to stay there the next day. Although both spaces are private and did not impact on our stay- this is not mentioned in the listing- so be aware.
Our first nights stay was unusually cold for Orange summer and there were no extra blankets available anywhere.
We were staying in Orange for a funeral and needed an iron and an ironing board and although stated on the listing that there is one- we were not able to locate the ironing board. ( we found the iron) .
We are from orange originally and so were able to find our way around orange- but for those who may be visiting the first time, some information re local eateries, attractions and maps might be useful.
Mobile phone coverage is sketchy and internet access ( although passwords provided) was also a bit hit and miss, so do not rely on 'googling' to find your way around. ( unless you are with Telstra) .
Tea/coffee and milk provisions were limited and there are no basic condiments eg: salt and pepper- so remember to stop at the shop and bring your own before arrival.
Lawn out the back was not mowed and so although there was a BBQ available it would have been difficult to use and an unpleasant experience.
Furniture inside is minimal but very clean and well kept.
If your looking to just have a base for sleeping , showering etc- and cook the occasional meal then this is a great place to stay. The Centre of town is literally just down the road with easy access to Woolworths for provisions.
Overall we were happy with our stay but would recommend that the listing be more accurate and for the check-in/communication process to be reviewed and improved.
