This home is a welcoming retreat for artists and anyone who values quiet and seclusion. It is decorated in an eclectic mix of antique items (including a cannister set from the 1880's once belonging to my great-grandparents in the Netherlands) to original works of modern art. The open concept mini home was renovated in 2021/22 to provide everything you could hope for in a vacation home: A/C, updated kitchen, sliding doors to a huge screen room, woodstove and ensuite bathroom. Please note - the house is on a steep hill so if you are towing a heavy trailer, or your vehicle needs a brake job - this may not be the rental for you.

This house is very well supplied and very comfortable. The location is very private. This is a home away from home. The house has everything that you need for a wonderful and relaxing vacation. I would definitely stay here again!
Fully equipped and everything worked properly. The home was clean quiet and private.

Disliked: Communication
it was a nice place, the driveway was horrible! I don't recommend anyone with a low riding vehicle to attempt it. there were a few other minor issues, but all in all nice. The view was good wish there had been some green space out-front to sit.
Wow !Very nice house with everything you may need. Our little family vacation was VERY relaxing! We got to enjoy all the places around .Will book again!
We came here for a quiet weekend and this rental was exactly what we were looking for. It was far enough from the road that we could take the kids outside for a walk and even got to see some local wildlife!
Wonderful, small place which was exactly what we were looking for. We used it as a base to explore Cape Breton Trail. Master bedroom very nice en suite. Spare bedroom very small. Great woodburning stove! And view was nice.

The cottage is one of the most "complete" ones we stayed in. everything what we needed was there.
Super dog friendly as well.
The seal dealer was the enclosed veranda. 2 full bathrooms, 2 bedrooms and a very comfortable, enjoyable open concept kitchen/living room area. Loved watching the nature as well as the lobster boats and freighters going past. Great central place for going to different areas. Excellent food choices, especially The Cove (3 times). Would love to come back and definitely recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay.
The cottage was perfect for taking daily outings to the surrounding area including an easy access to the Cabot trail. The house was super clean. We were even greeted with a bald eagle fly by on arrival.
As other reviews have noted, be sure to stop by the Front Porch for coffee and goodies.
Well kept, older modular home. The place grew on me. It was early spring so the straight was readily visible. The driveway is quite steep. We didn't have any trouble getting up but it not for the faint of heart. The gas grill was a great feature. Wifi worked well.
We visited "Authentic Seacoast"/Rare bird brewing and had a great time.
We had an awesome time staying at Renny’s cottage. It was so clean and had everything we needed. Renny was always quick to respond and assisted us immediately with any questions we had. Although we weren’t there much in the day we still managed to truly enjoy the property. I can’t say anything negative about our stay here, it was truly amazing and we will never forget it!!

Why they chose this property
This house showcases the beauty of the area, located on The Marine Trail. Centrally located, Halifax, and the Cabot Trail can both be done as day trips. Relax in the screen room and watch the eagles float by.
What makes this property unique
All on one floor, it's ideal for people who don't want to navigate a lot of stairs. It is pet-friendly. Peaceful and private, it's perfect for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy community.
