We loved the gorgeous area, stunning forest views from inside the cabin, fully stocked kitchen, ample firewood, different areas within the cabin to gather, craft, play games....The hosts responded quickly and effectively to a problem.

Grandpas Dream = Awesome Fathers & Sons Water Weekend
Fantastic property, having coffee on the deck like being in a treehouse. Well appointed, everything a group needs to have an excellent stay. Communication with the property management company was excellent - we experienced absolutely no issues!

Thank you, Ron! We are so happy you enjoyed it and look forward to seeing you again!
We really liked this place. The review said the cabin is for 10 people. We were a group of 8 people, and there was enough beds for 8 people, so if you have more people in your geopu, you might need some sleeping bags or something. Other than that, you will like it too.
This trip was Absolutely The Best Family Winter Vacation! My cousin and I both have a family of 4 with children ranging from 6yrs-13yrs! It was spacious, clean, equipped with Everything you could possibly need to accommodate Everyone! We were even able to drive a short distance to experience the snow! Would definitely recommend and return! Thank you Sheila!

We are so thrilled to hear it! That is so sweet of you. We look forward to hosting you again!
It was a perfect place to be.except the fact that when I was searching places around and tells me that 16 miles from Leland snow place but it was a disappointingly an 1 hour and 45 minutes drive.I was disappointed to why the Expedia will tell me that.I think I deserve a compensation back despite.Thank you
I general we enjoyed our stay very much. House is well maintained, and area is gorgeous. Couple things we didn't like:1. Guests required to remove all linens after stay. It seems like prior guests didn't do it, and linen wasn't clean in one bedroom. We had to wash it and make bed ourselves.2. Check-out time is 10 am. Usually people on vacation don't want to rush, and such an early check-out is not a very good idea. I stayed in quite a few hotels, Airbnb and VRBO properties, but never seen check-out before 11 am.Nevertheless, these things didn't spoil our holiday spirit and new year celebration.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! We're so sorry that a bed was missed before your stay! Thank you for your understanding regarding the check-out time. Our cleaners work extremely hard to ensure all of our cabins get prepared for each guest and often clean a couple cabins on the same day.
We are so glad these things did not spoil your stay!
The lighting over the dining table is too dim. The light switch for the main floor tv area did not work at all. The bannisters need to be tightened up. A couple of doors squeak. My wife suggests fluffier pillows. Could not find a broom. The top of the pool table needs to be refurbished or acquire a whole new table. These items should not have been ignored in a quality house such as that.
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin over President's Day weekend. We had 4 adults and 3 kids and enjoyed the pool table, kitchen, & beautiful woods (for snowball fights & sledding - brought our own sleds).
In the listing, it says there are three bedrooms, but that is inaccurate. There are two enclosed bedrooms with doors, though the listing photos make it look like three. The upstairs master "bedroom" is an open loft with views to the main floor below. This means little privacy for whoever sleeps up there and waking up early when anyone else comes into the kitchen or living room area.
The kitchen was well stocked, however the main silverware drawer was stuck closed because of a knife block. My husband got it open far enough to wiggle some forks & spoons out, but we never did open it. Managers responded very quickly when we told them and said they would fix it after we left.
Agree with other reviews that lighting in dining area is too dim & it's unfortunate none of the windows have any shades/curtains.
Enormous DVD collection in the basement, however, after spending an hour debating which movie to watch, we discovered the DVD player was broken. Management said they would fix it after we left as well, so we never got to partake of the collection and that TV didn't connect to streaming. Big bummer.
The driveway is VERY steep - I would have been very worried going up or down it with snow/ice. Luckily, during our stay, it was warm and the snow had melted away.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay despite the drawer and DVD player trouble! We hope you will stay again sometime!
We were originally slated to stay in a different cabin but due to some unforeseen circumstances, Derek found us an alternate cabin which was more spacious and aptly located. Communication with the host has been a breeze. They were kind enough to provide us additional fans due to the high temperatures. The cabin had all the necessary items for cooking. Also had collection of board games and a pool table for a quick family fun time. Overall we enjoyed our stay in the cabin and we would recommend the host as well as the cabin to others.

Reviewer Comments:
Grandpa's Dream cabin is a nice property in a lovely area however there are major privacy issues which should have been noted by the rental company. There are no window coverings in the entire house. Especially in sensitive areas such as the bedrooms. This left several of us with an uncomfortable and uneasy feeling. Even feeling scared at night. Sleeping in was not an option due to the sun coming in. The master bedroom was not a bedroom. There was no door or wall. It was completely open to the rest of the house. Again no privacy or quiet. This should have been shown in the photos. Lastly, one of the beds downstairs had not been changed. I am sure this was just a mistake but still yucky. In general the rental company needs update the listing or the owners need to put in window covering in the bedrooms at the very least.
