Pine Island - Lina`s Tropical Retreat

Welcome to what we call ... Lina's Tropical Retreat on beautiful St James City, Florida. We're located within Pine Island, known for our Mango's, tropical fruits, water everywhere and relaxing "Olde Florida" lifestyles. Getting here, you'll drive through the funky village of Matlacha with brightly colored buildings and homes, art studios, restaurants and much more. While you'll feel so far removed from everything, you're just a short drive to restaurants, shops, grocery stores, beaches and much more. Our home features over an acre of well manicured lawn to explore, run play or just relax. Your neighbors? ... say hello to the horses next door and everyone is spread out to give you a great sense of privacy. Our home has an open kitchen with everything you'll need to enjoy a wonderful stay and prepare meals for your friends and family. Spacious living area, dining room and screened lanai with comfortable seating. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the main level, each with queen sized beds. There's also a queen sized futon in the living room. We'll look forward to welcoming you to our St James City oasis soon! Need more space? The lower level can be rented seperately, please inquire.

Overall was a decent stay

We had some issues with the cleanliness of the house which led to the rental company refunding our cleaning fee. The property also did not match the pictures in VRBO. Over all aside from having to clean the home is comfortable and quiet and worked well for what we needed.

Nice property with a lot of potential

Property was just as described, with a lot of space for a family and a nice downstairs space for the teenagers. It appeared that everything in the kitchen in terms of appliances and dishes and cookware was brand new, however, the kitchen could be better equipped and was missing several key items. For example, no salad bowl, no colander to drain pasta, no wine glasses, no utensils for the grill or cleaning brush for the grill, no serving bowls or mixing bowls, and initially we had no bakeware but they did provide us some bakeware after we messaged about it. For a family planning to cook at home several nights, the kitchen would not quite accommodate unless they better equip. Additionally, the second day that we were there a pick up truck showed up and drove in through the fenced yard and parked in the back of the property and left their hazard lights running. We had no idea who owned this pick up truck and when we called the management company, we left a message and never got any response. Kind of strange to have a random vehicle show up in the fenced backyard with hazard lights running and no explanation. Was also was advertised to have a nice fire pit outside so we brought our own firewood, but there was no sign of a fire pit. Overall, plenty of space and the property is very nice, and the furniture is in great condition, and the TVs all worked well with streaming services.
