About this property

Island TreeTop House, Pet friendly

Lovely cozy 2bed 1bath secluded house in quiet neighborhood. My home is very clean and uncluttered. Great for Two or three people
House is 10 ft off the ground with relaxing tree top views from every window in the house. 10 acres protected land adjacent to property , and neighborhood boat and kayak launch one block from house. I have two kayaks and 2 bikes; guests are welcome to use. Lots of birds to watch, bring your binoculars. A leisurely walk to small cove beach, one block from house. Plenty of parking under the house. (No HOA restrictions). Outside fire pit for bonfires, Plenty of firewood.
New refrigerator, new tile flooring, new furniture throughout house, everyone mentions how comfortable the beds are. New linens, Washer/dryer, new air fryer, propane cook top stove, Microwave (no oven or dishwasher).
WI-FI & Antenna , 2 Smart TV’s and DVD player. Stream NFLX, AMZN prime, HULU, from your personal accounts.

Pine Island Community Pool, tennis courts and Library at the center of Island. (4 miles). Lots of privately owned restaurants on the island. Good food casual wear. Live music at area restaurants and pubs. My favorite restaurants are in The Perfect Cup, The BlueDog , Micali’s, in Bokeelia Captain Con’s Ilike the TacoTruck at the center, and several down in St James city. A Beaches are plentiful within a 60 to 90 minute drive. Ft myers beach, Sanibel beach, North Captiva beach is my favorite there is a water taxi from Pine island to north Captiva. Wonderful outing.
Englewood 🏝️ , Venice beach very nice also. This is my happy place and my guests love it too. Welcome to paradise.

We loved our stay!
We really enjoyed our time here. The house is in a great location with plenty of privacy. We had a lot of fun using the kayaks, and the closeness of the put-in was great. Well stocked with everything we needed - even a stacked washer/dryer. Has a homey feel as another reviewer said. There is a grocery store nearby and a good amount of restaurants around. We would both highly recommend a stay here.

Excellent, quiet, all that was promised
The home was clean and secluded in a quiet neighborhood ... just what we wanted. Plenty of towels, kitchen accessories, paper goods, afghans; WiFi, TV stations, books. Outdoor seating and burn pit, nice deck and landscaping. Owner available for questions and made recommendations in the area. Toured the entire island, plenty of places to eat if staying on Pine Island. Wishes for a full economic recovery - everyone's spirits seem strong.

Clean and Accommodating
My husband and I enjoyed our stay and the house was VERY clean. Just about everything we needed was provided…linens, laundry detergent, dish soap, vacuum, variety of comfortable pillows, tissues, and even bottled water. The house has a great outside area upstairs to relax at and nice sofas inside, nice kitchen area, and very nice bedrooms…so overal a nice, clean and relaxing house to stay at. Nice clean bathroom also. There are two bedrooms but only one has a tv…but there is a tv in the living room downstairs. The only reason why I gave it four stars is because the lighting outside is not sufficient at night…especially having to climb high stairs to get to the house. If older not a good place to stay because of that. Also inside there are a few stairs that could use a railing to hold on to…especially when older. Otherwise we truly loved our stay…very quiet and relaxing if you are not into too fancy of a place and more into a rugged cabin feel. The beach that is listed is more of a park area by the water…not much of a beach if you are into suntanning. The property manager was great…very friendly and helpful and accommodating. Not sure if we would choose to stay there again ONLY because my husband and I are older and the stairs made it difficult for us. But if you don’t mind stairs, don’t mind it being pitch dark at night, and are not into fancy stuff…it definitely could be the place for you…because everything else was VERY nice and accommodating!

Why they chose this property

While on vacation in 2004, came to Pine Island to visit friends. I fell in love with the Island. Lots of preserved land & wildlife.
Privately owned business’s abound on this beautiful island.
Artist and writers, fishermen and retirees. A strong community spirit is prevalent with A wide variety of choices. Arts, music,
Fishing, boating, kayaking, yoga, meditation and massage. Active Library events. Festivals. There is always a wide variety of activities, just check the Pine Island Eagle. The local
Paper here on the island. Or ask at local restaurants and shops. People are very friendly and easy to chat with.
I was drawn to the house because of the unique structure.
It brought to mind a fairytale house, compact with everything I needed. A cabin in the trees. Whenever I spent time here, I am at peace, enjoying the sun and the water. The Sighting of birds, dolphins, manatees, tortoise and many creatures brings such joy.
This is my happy place.

What makes this property unique

While driving around the island, I came across the most unique fairytale house, as I saw it. A cabin built in the tree tops. “For sale by owner”. It was mine.
The little bit of traffic that passes today, come to a complete stop and stare, if it’s their first encounter with this unusual home. That always brings me joy as that was my first reaction in 2004. I love my home and hope you will also.
