Many "tired" things.
The overall rating should be 3.6.
My wife fixed the coffee maker while I fixed the ice maker. Pet peeve - many (!) of the light switches are installed upside down and many seemed to do nothing. We were there three days before we found the garbage barrels. Outside the unit we found dog poop on the sidewalk, an empty water bottle in the garden, an old paper bag by the car, and someone's underwear pants on the lawn next door (they were not picked up for the whole time we were there).
The kitchen utensils and glasses need the owner's attention as do the Yellow Pages Directory (dated 2010), the small booklets about Fernandina (dated 2020, 2021, and 2022), and almost all of the reading materials. The physical plant seemed OK, but the owner supplied information was very much outdated.
For first time visitors, there should be a paper roadmap. We found our cell phones inadequate and the fact that we arrived on Friday afternoon of the shrimp festival didn't help with our frustration.
We were also surprised that there was no one on the premises to help us get settled. Google maps basically ends with an entrance off Summer Beach. Then, of course we broke down with the now infamous "#" sign in the gate code.
All in all we ended up pretty satisfied. A last comment would be that accessing the property, getting settled, and making use of all the amenities seems to be easiest for returning folks than for first time visitors.
