There are several condo units available in this building via VRBO. They all have their own charms - for this one it’s the umbrella on the deck and the comfortable couch!

Vesuvius location

Great place and very clean. Two full bathrooms and nice kitchen. Lovely balcony. Lovely wisteria in parking areas. Bit of ferry traffic noise in front bedroom.

Awesome Retreat

Elena's space was an awesome retreat following a "tourist's" visit to the Ganges area The distance to the activity of the island - it's beautiful shops, wonderful food and inspiring art galleries - was just right. Elena is wonderful with giving detailed explanations and expectations for the homestay so there are no unexpected surprises, I definitely hope to return!

Salt Spring was great.

A very nice stay on Salt Spring Island. The island is not that large so the condo location was close enough for everything. There is a bus but we used our car. It was nice to sit on the covered balcony for breakfast and dinner and enjoy the water view and sunset. Overall, it was very clean, comfortable and well appointed.

Great stay at Salt Spring

We (2 couples) had a great stay at Elena’s place. The apartment unit was well maintained and clean. The kitchen was fully equipped and we were able to make breakfast with ease. The beds were comfortable and the linens and washroom were clean and in good condition. We especially enjoyed the patio as it over looks the water so it was a nice place for us to hang out. Communication before arrival was also clear and succinct . Check in was a breeze! Great long weekend stay overall!

Nice Condo near the ferry to Crofton

We enjoyed our 3 day stay at this Vesuvius condo on Salt Spring Island. It's very nice, well appointed, clean, and a very good location for hopping over to Crofton on Vancouver Island. The host provided very good directions for an easy check in, and all required details for our stay. I highly recommended it. 5 stars. SSI is a beautiful island. Take the Trustees Trail up Mount Erskine for a fabulous view! You can see this condo from the summit. We hope to go back again some day and would stay here again if we do.

Quiet & Spacious

I was surprised at just how large this condo was. And quiet. Despite it being a long weekend the ferry traffic did not cause any problems accessing the property. Although we did not take advantage of the easy access to Vancouver Island it certainly was a plus. The suite itself was well supplied, very clean, and despite the heat stayed fairly cool. It was nice to have a fan. Also a real bonus to have 2 bathrooms and washer and dryer. Communication with the host was excellent. Thank you Elena.

Everything you need for a superb stay

We really enjoyed our 9 day stay at the Vesuvius Condo. We have stayed previously at other condos in the Vesuvius complex, so we already knew that the layout and location were superb. This condo had everything you would need in the kitchen to prepare meals along with a BBQ that worked very well and was super clean. A Brita water filter container in the refrigerator was a pleasant surprise. The bedrooms had ceiling fans which helped on the warm nights along with fully screened windows, which not all places have. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding sheets and pillows were first rate, which is highly unusual for short term rentals in this price range. Also, having a washing machine and dryer really helps when you are staying over a week. Both machines were very clean and efficient. The views of the water were always nice, especially while eating meals on the patio. Strolling around the neighborhood and to the ferry docks after dinner was always pleasant for us. The Vesuvius property itself has not been up kept as nicely as in the past, but I hear there is a change in property management, so hopefully that will change. Our communication with the owner of the condo Elena was very prompt and informative. She cares deeply about her condo and it shows in how it is maintained.

The place was very nice. Unfortunately there was a lock (that needed a key) door for the master bedroom and my 6year old accidentally locked it from the inside. We were locked out of the room all night Becasue there was no spare key for it. We had to wait until morning and the owner was not very understanding about it. I would hope after this incident she will change that door handle for safety reasons. I don’t think there is any reason that they should have a door with a lock that one cannot open in case of an emergency.

We’ve stayed here before because we love it so much. Great location in a beautiful part of SSI, close to the best beach on the island. Beautiful clean condo, with lots of light and lovely patio. Elena the owner is great. We’ve already booked it again for next summer.
