The property was as expected. Our Host was very good with communication. The fact the property was pet friendly, you would not know pets had been there except for the bowls. No hair anywhere, no poop in the yard. Very well kept. There were a few too many knick knacks around that I was afraid of knocking over and for longer stays no kitchen space to store groceries. While there were lots of mugs, there was shortage of a good dinner place setting when eating in. Fridge was good though! Bed in larger bedroom was very comfortable and our linens and bedding were top notch. It's an older home so don't expect perfection. The floors a a little bouncing and the outside deck could use some TLC. Fantastic views and if you are there for the birding nearby you'll see just as many in the yard and the shoreline.There are dogs across the street that are well penned but they do bark (as most dogs will) when you are in there line of sight. Doing their normal dog thing. Ignore them and they stop :)

This was a perfect little get away. Nice and quiet, beautiful sunrises. I booked this location for its private beach for my dog and it was great! Host is very pleasant and responsive.

Gorgeous home on a huge private lakefront property. Lakeviews from multiple windows and 3 sliding doors including from both bedrooms. Very comfortable beds and furniture throughout home. Fully stocked kitchen for all cooking needs. Private beach with easy access. Dead end road so very quiet. Would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay at Elena’s cottage. The photos are exactly as pictured, the check in process and communication was smooth. The cottage itself is at the end of a street so it’s pretty quiet (minus the dogs across the road barking). We loved the easy access to the beach below the property and the large grassy area for our dog to run around. The sunrise was absolutely beautiful from the deck. Would 100% stay here again. It is also very close 20 mins from Pelee National Park which is a nice day trip.

Family getaway

The owner was amazing, friendly, and so easy to communicate with. She ensured the cottage had everything we could think of. It was a great spot for the 6 of us to spend a few days relaxing, enjoying the water, and the large yard. We would stay here again for sure!

We had a wonderful week here. A very cool place. It is a wonderful house, where there is everything you need for vacations. There is full kitchen with more than enough different things for cooking and dinners. Beautiful beach. There are many places for walking around here. There is good fishing both from the beach near the house and from the marina 10 minutes from the house. The owners of the house are very sociable and friendly people. They are always available for communication and are ready to answer any questions and give necessary advice. We will be happy to come here again.

The property itself was great—the view and yard were unbeatable. However, the cleanliness left much to be desired. When we arrived we ended up spending a couple hours cleaning something in almost every room as there was dust on various surfaces throughout the rental, cobwebs in a bedroom and bathroom, hair in the drain of the shower, etc. After communicating with the host, it's evident they didn't use a service before our arrival.

You are a type of guests that brings multiple dogs and do not pay, and yet complain about spiders to demand a refund. It is our home/beach house that we share with people who want to spent time at the lake on a private beach and a cottage. We clean our house ourselves - it is not a 5 star New York hotel, it is my home and you were a guest, we cleaned for you probably better than you cleaned your own house with all the dogs you brought, the dog hair were left everywhere on the floor and furniture after your visit. Please do not come back, but let other people who would really appreciate the lake and cottage environment, being able to have great time with the family and pets as the rest of guest before you.

A very special place!

The cottage was very clean, comfortable, spacious, well-organized, and well-stocked. The bed/ mattress was very comfortable. The cottage is in a quiet, peaceful and relaxing setting at the end of a cul de sac. The views were exceptional. The lovely constant sound of the waves and incoming breezes were wonderful. I could hardly wait to get up in the morning, make a cup of coffee and watch the lovely sunrise. Our dogs loved the location and seemed to have a permanent smile on their faces throughout the stay. Just loved our stay!

Words can not do this property justice

I can not put into words how beautiful this property is as the photos do not do it justice. While the house is clean and beautiful it is the backyard, view and beach that make this property. A private beach with unbelievable views. Our trip was even made that much better by how helpful and thoughtful Elena and John (the hosts) were. A real treat as my family loved everything the property had to offer.

Perfect getaway!

Quiet dead-end street with stunning views of the lake. The house was well-equipped and comfortable. This was one of the first places we’ve rented that had a perfect living room set up, with lots of comfy seating. The private area of the beach was perfect for the pups and steps from the house. Lovely shaded porch area in the backyard where you can enjoy the views and still be protected from the hot sun. The fact that we were able to bring our dogs with no restrictions was an absolute luxury. Most rentals have weight restrictions and a one-dog policy. We were sad to leave and would love to come back. Thank you Elena for a wonderful and relaxing stay.

A magical getaway!

Our family had an amazing vacation at this property! The cottage was fully equipped with all our basic needs, multiple tvs with netfilx etc were available for any rainy days and we slept like babies on the clean and comfortable beds. But most of our time was spent outside enjoying the amazing view and quiet, private beach which was perfect for our families needs. It has proven difficult to find a property that allows 2 large dogs and we very much appreciated this accommodation, they even had water dishes and leashes available. All in all we had an amazing stay and cant wait to return again! on the clean and comfortable beds

Beautiful location, but updates needed

Positives first. The host was very responsive to my questions and the check in process was easy. She actually let me check in a little early. The view of the lack is beautiful, and the property has access to a private, sandy beach. The water was clear and not too cold. I loved how each bedroom had sliding doors and a view of the water. The large backyard with shaded trees was also nice on very hot days. We also enjoyed the quiet location, the wifi, and the abundance of wildlife. We saw several deer, chipmunks, raccoons, rabbits, and ducks. Negatives. The house needs some updates. The outdoor deck is rotting. My elderly father's walker got stuck in one of the holes that the owner plugged with a rock. The kitchen and bathroom also need updating/cleaning. The shower had black mold. The biggest issue, in my opinion, is one the host could easily address. There is too much clutter. Every cupboard and drawer is jam packed with odds and ends and knick knacks. It is hard to find things and there is no room on the countertops to cook. It just needs to be better organized. There is also a problem with large carpenter ants. I left a box of un-opened pastries on the counter, and the next morning it had more than a dozen ants in it. I had to throw it out. I still enjoyed my time. The view was lovely.

This is not a hotel, but our home where we live all year around. The visitors are welcomed to enjoy this magnificent place, because our wish to share it comes from desire to make people happy, that has been so, all people that have visited - enjoyed and spent great time at our beloved home. However, there is always a first time. The experience of having you was one of a kind, where for the first time we encountered: - Our personal things in drawers and on shelves were went through, item moved, misplaced, removed, relocated, missing, told they were thrown away; - Decisions made about the house equipment without asking, or disregarding the notes left, that resulted in hardware failure, now are needed to be fixed by external services; - No smoking rule was disregarded - a cigarette burn on a blanket; - Brought at list two dogs without paying a fee - this is dishonesty; - Wet and mudded towels used to dry the dog(s) were left piled up on the dining table, another pile on the floor of wet linen, towels, blankets instead of placing is a basket provided for the used towels; - The puddles of water left on the bedroom floor. Is it how you live in your home? If not, then it is very disrespectful. And another thing good to know, when people are kind to you, it does not automatically mean that they are stupid. Happy Canada Day!

Stunning. AC a real help in heatwave. Used fans otherwise and we slept well in comfortable beds even in the heatwave. Loved all the decor and view of the lake is spectacular. Lots to see and do locally. Spacious rooms, light and airy throughout with good storage. Very clean throughout and bathrooms were well kept and convenient. Loved the walk-in shower. We like cooking so used the kitchen dining area to the full - well equipped, even a blender. Host is responsive and helpful, really cares for her home. We are very grateful that it was available to rent and hope to return, Our dog loved it too!

Great place for family getaway

We had very good time at this place. The location is fantastic: quiet street, great views of the lake, plenty of space for a larger family. The house is good, but needs some improvements: no dish washer, laundry, flooring, etc.
