About this property

VILLA ALIMUR is a comfortable family villa providing five double bedrooms and newly refurbished kitchen and bathrooms. Sleeps 10 very comfortably with one bedroom and bathroom situated in a cute cottage at the bottom of the garden. Set in beautiful gardens with crystal clear heated pool (heating optional) this is ideal for a large family to self cater in the summer, with outside living area, dining and barbecue. Situated between Quinta de Largo and Vale Do Lobo, twenty minutes from Faro airport, and five minutes drive from the beach, The open plan Kitchen and all the bathrooms have been fully refurbished to the highest standards, and all bedrooms have air con. There is a 42' plasma TV, sunbeds for all, American fridge, car parking, teak outside dining furniture and gas barbecue.
Maid service provided daily, close to restaurants, shops and some great golf courses.

Excelente villa com um espaço exterior fantástico

Casa espaçosa e confortável, com enorme (e muito bonito) espaço exterior. Tanto a casa como o exterior estão muito bem preservados e decorados. A mesa de ping pong foi um extra e muito requisitada durante a semana que passámos na Villa Alimur. A casa fica perto da Praia do Ancão e da Quinta Shopping. As bicicletas disponíveis permitiram passeios pelo passadiço até às praias. Recomendamos, sem qualquer hesitação, a Villa Alimur!

Family fun in the sun

Fabulous villa for large family (6 adults, 2 babies and 1 toddler). Great outdoor space, gardens and pool. Plenty of seating and loungers in shade and sunshine. We’ll equipped kitchen and great dining area (bbq and pizza oven also available but not used by us). Safe, enclosed environment with key fob operated drive gates. All bedrooms clean and comfortable with shower/bath facilities for each room. The Villa felt like a ‘home from home’ as the owners gave full access to their own toys and sports equipment. We have no hesitation in recommending this villa to others and may well be back ourselves another year.

Unique Family gathering in sunny environment during winter.

All the facilities are there for the whole family old and young to enjoy the stay. With a lot of room in and outside with much privacy.

Bad experience overall service & accommodation

Upon arrival previous renters still there and had been told they could leave when they wanted to as had been told no one was checking in that day. Made to feel like an annoyance by previous renters and made several attempts to contact property managers and owner. Finally upon making contact the reply from the owner was it’s all been sorted and got told at this point by the way the dishwasher is broken too, nothing they can do he said. Staying positive we returned with our two families consisting of young children and my mother to find the cleaners were still there so we had to hang around way past check in at this point. The cleaners were rude but probably flustered and shouting not to touch their things that were in the fridge. This alarmed us with Covid cleanliness etc and also that by this time the fridge space was being rented by us! Trying to kill some time we explored the pool area which was unswimmable, a film of dirty, cloudiness lay on the top - not safe for any of us to swim in. Plus rubbish and used plasters were in the surrounds. My mom was told the Annexe was clean so we tried to unpack and got told you need to use the shutters down there as the windows don’t shut properly, plus it smelt damp. In the meantime my daughters unpacked bag was covered in ants whilst it sat in a bedroom the cleaners denied seeing ants - we expect to see ants but not that amount and that size in a just cleaned bedroom. The Patio areas were covered in pine detritus as no one had clearly kept the place clean. The owner told me the renters hadn’t let anyone in so they couldn’t clean or maintain which to my surprise the same renters had been told no rush to check out! The villa in general is extremely dated with very cramped, damp smelling bedrooms - we could have with dated but it was the lack of cleanliness that was not acceptable. There is general clutter everywhere, cardboard boxes and ironing boards in hallways. The final straw was the broken dishwasher that was not just out of action but unable to be closed which on attempting to close slams down very heavily . The position of the open dishwasher caused damage to myself as it juts out. Very hazardous with young children about. The owner agreed to refund us but but without a defensive discussion on his part. Followed by his very rude, aggressive, condescending wife who was shouting down the phone and who could not see not having a dishwasher was a problem. No need to say will not return!!
