We loved the property! We will definitely be back and we will be sure to bring the kids along on the next trip. We would stay longer and make trips more frequently if lodging was more affordable.
The stay and resort was beautiful….and amazing!!! Just had a little trouble with getting the check in information and being in touch with the owner….. before hand and getting instructions
We stay at Big Cedar each year, this was the first time we didn't book through them... our room was great and we enjoyed our stay, will definitely do this again.
It was the perfect setup for our little family. The pullout couch was great for the kids and our bed was very comfortable. Only complaint was the coffee. I would recommend bring a gallon of water to drink and make coffee with, it just tasted bad.
We were in town for a wedding. Check in was easy. The place had all we needed….kitchenette, comfortable bed, spacious sink and bathroom countertop, nice balcony with two great rockers. Quiet. Great resort. Access to all of Big Cedars amenities as well. Great stay.
Nice 2 days at Big Cedar over Christmas. The room was clean and the right size for a family of four with smaller kids. Should have looked for a bigger room. It was fine as not much time is spent in the room!
Down side you can hear every little footstep or not so little from above.
The resort was very good. During my check in process, a woman giving out the parking passes stated that this was the last time I could stay with Bluegreeen. She said that Bluegreen was going to block VRBO guests. I doubt this but I was surprised by her rudeness. With this exception, we had a great trip.
The room was clean, well appointed and in a convenient location. It was just as described. However, the information from VRBO was minimal with an incorrect address. If we had not been familiar with the area, we would have been lost. Also, we had no contact or information from the owner. First disappointing stay with VRBO.
Only negative is that I think elephants were staying above us. They woke up early and it felt like stomping and made the metal lighting fixture in our room vibrate. Room and accommodation exactly as described. Great value. Check in was a back up and not very fast at all. Not a reflection of this specific unit but plan for it as we were pressed for time for the event we were there for and this was not expected.
Property was great but the room has a few thing wring. Closet was located in hot water closet. It was dirty and didn’t like my cloths hanging there. Room was dark the lights were very dim. Not for women putting makeup on for sure. All else was good.
We have stayed here half dozen times and there is great care in maintaining the grounds but the rooms are looking worn and tired. Pictures may be outdated at this point. Our sofa had a tear in it. The carpet is worn and needing either a deep clean or total replacement. Mold along the baseboards in bathroom. Well equipped room just some general neglect and standard cleaning is not addressing these things. Prices may be escalating and although the property is great the rooms will need some help to justify increases in the future.
We were in town for a wedding for two days, which was nowhere near enough time to do this property justice. There are tons of fantastic activities to do. We really wish we had time to do the golf cart tour through the caves and waterfalls. Give yourself enough time and enjoy everything! Food was great at Buzzard's Bar.
The room itself was very on theme. Some of the caulk in the bathroom needed to be redone as it looked a little moldy, but for the most part the room was in good condition. It was really nice having the kitchenette and gorgeous view from the balcony! Very comfortable bedding with a nice, plush duvet.
