While this home is fully remodeled, the classic Galveston Island elements have been tastefully preserved from wide trim to high ceilings to hardwood floors. With the attractive coastal amenities and the ultra soft 5-star hotel quality bedding and towels, this island getaway will leave you nothing short of absolute comfort during your stay!

After an action-packed beach day, come back to Casa Azul for some grillin' and chillin' time on the deck with your favorite beverage of choice in hand!

It's easy to stay with us and secure too! Access the home electronically at 4pm on the date of your arrival with your unique lock code that we specifically give only to you via text and email. Your code is live from 4pm on your arrival date until 11am on the date of your departure.
The Neighborhood:
The scenic Seawall is just 2 blocks from this home. Guests can enjoy the many restaurants from seafood to pizza or head to the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier. Still not enough, check out Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, or the fabulous and historic Strand. There's plenty of activities to do, and of course, there is nothing better than a day at the beach!
Getting Around:
Most activities are within walking distance from this central spot. However, Uber and Lyft are widely available and convenient for evenings out. Seasonal trolley service runs along parts of the Seawall and into downtown, which is a charming, car-free way to sightseeing.

We take clean seriously! When you rent a 979 home, you'll also receive the 'comforts of home' guest welcome starter supply of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, tp and paper towels, dishwasher and clothes washer pods. We want your stay to be as easy as you do, and the 979 Crew aims to deliver on that commitment. We love our island guests!
🐾 PUP-FRIENDLY:
Bring Fido(s)! We welcome your furry friends (aka family members). Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are allowed at this home, subject to approval and a non-refundable pet fee of $100 per dog per stay.
WIFI/TV SERVICE:
Our properties include WIFI/Internet and TV service for your streaming services. Due to our location (Island living is a whole other way of life), service may be unpredictable or spotty, and repair times can be delayed. While we will do everything we can to ensure these items are in good working order before your arrival, please note, these services may not be as consistent as they are in your area. So grab your favorite people, ditch the electronics, and spend the day at our beautiful beaches!
979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES:
All 979 rental home follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance. Please send inquiry and details if more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1M liability protection and $10K damage insurance - and good news, No Security Deposit Required!
CANCELLATION POLICY:
When booking direct with 979, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations. After 24 hours, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 30 days of check-in are non-refundable.
Reservations made on 3rd party channels/OTAs such as Airbnb, VRBO, Booking, Hopper etc may be subject to terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. When booking through a 3rd party channel, the cancellation policy you agreed to at the time of booking is the cancellation policy on your reservation.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Azul. The enclosed back yard was perfect for our little dog. The location is excellent with a 2 block walk to the crosswalk on Seawall Blvd. The house is very comfortable and not being elevated with many steps is a plus. Hightly recommended.
House was as described and we had a great time being so close to the beach AND the Strand. Would definitely go back.

Place was nicely appointed -- nice bed linens and towels; central air AND window units; tv's in bedrooms; full kitchen with great countertops and large, cold fridge; outdoor seating if needed; very close to beach; and just a short walk to Miller's for breakfast.

The property was exactly like the description and in a great location just a few minute walk from Millers and to the beach. The beds were very comfortable and it had all the amenities. We would definitely stay there again.

The house was perfect for our family of 5. Updated and clean, and great location! Walkable to everything we wanted to do- beach, pleasure pier, bike and golf cart rentals, even an easy 1 mile walk over to the historic Strand district. Would definitely recommend this rental to friends.

Nice stay at Casa Azul. Cute vacation house. Lovely kitchen stocked adequately with dishes and pans. Coffee bar was a plus. Backyard was small but fenced in. Lovely outdoor furniture.

This house had cute interior decor and was very clean. It was about a 2 block walk to the beach, so we loved the location.
There is a little back porch with a table, great for morning coffee or evening wind down when weather permits. Super comfy beds and window units provided great white noise for sleeping.

We were close enough to walk to a great beach with chairs and umbrellas and a red light at the corner. We would stay here again. The ac unit in kitchen window is not working properly.

What a great spot. My wife and I stayed a couple of days prior to hoping on a cruise. The place worked great. Nice location walkable to a number of touristy sports and restaurants.
