Nicely presented studio in quiet area very close to the beach. Small kitchenette perfectly adequate for preparing a meal, if required, with new Air Fryer and microwave. Great shower and comfortable bed. Fantastic location for cyclists and walkers wanting to do the coastal walkway. Tropical garden was very attractive. Studio 22 was excellent value.
We enjoyed our short stay at Studio 22 with our Scottish Terrier boy. The location is very close to the beach and parking is on the street. The room with kitchenette and bathroom is all we needed as two adults with a dog. It was a tidy room with just a few cobwebs.Just one thing in the room or bathroom that would have been a bit more convenient is a bin. There is bin bags in the cupboard below the sink, but no bin inside or outside of the room. There is the council bin in the driveway where we put the bin bag of our rubbish in when we left.We would definitely recommend this establishment for a couple or two persons travelling together.
We stayed 4 nights. Immaculate, tasteful decor, fully equipped, private. 1 minutes walk to incredible view of beach, New Plymouth across to the mountain. Quiet street. 5 minute stroll to the beautiful patrolled surf beach and walk/cycle path to the city or to Bell Block. Owner is really lovely and so helpful. Highly recommend

Positives Great location, super comfortable bed.Negatives Extremely dusty(artificial plants, blinds, furniture, fan.Very hot with inadequate cooling.Bathroom tired and basin inadequate. Needs updating. Toilet wouldn't stop running on last day. .
Great, quiet studio near New Plymouth coastal walkway and beach. Close to cafes and grocery. Great walking along coastal path! Kitchen was well-equipped, small oven (we made pizza!), and electirc skillet.

Good to be back in the Naki
Pleasant arty surrounds. Hard to find places for cases so tight for space.,small bench for food prep.I knocked my head badly on a sharp edged shelf above desk. This needs to be rounded off. It's dangerous . Bed linen & towels good but lots of cobwebs behind furniture
Great owner’s, very friendly, they allowed my dog to stay and play with their dog and hang out with their family in the main house. Can’t recommend this place any higher. I will definitely be back.
Great location near city and beach. Friendly hosts. Vital to have had our small dog with us in a secure property.

Disappointed
We found the location quiet and garden attractive. The bathroom was in need of upkeep, i.e. shower floor and a new quiet heater would be good. Bed comfortable.
We were disappointed and upset to find old food in the microwave. This was on the last day and we hadn't used the microwave throughout our stay. This was an unpleasant discovery.
We enjoyed our stay. Handy to the coastal pathway and the East End parkrun. We had stunning weather, but cold and the studio was very cosy. The wifi was not strong enough to cast the rugby to the TV, which was a shame.
A lovely quiet space to relax and unwind. Situated within the owner's property so we felt very safe. The room has a lovely comfy and warm bed, and there was everything we needed. An easy stroll to the beach. Would definitely return.
