We stay at this resort for a week every Thanksgiving, my kids love the indoor pool while my wife and I sit in the hottub, and this was one of the more modernized, nice condos here that we've stayed in over many years. The host was extremely helpful, even us getting there super late on a Tuesday night, she answered to give me gate code, and answered my texts even later that night to tell me where the wifi password was, even though it was obvious. Will stay here again!

The host Becky was in contact with me. There was dirty laundry all over the floor floors were disgusting. There was pubic hair in the bathrooms in the toilets in the sink and the tub. There was old cooked food in the oven when we arrived the place smelt so bad it was almost unbearable so when I called Becky to let her know about this, she called me a disgusting human being and hung up on me and did nothing about it and was completely insulting. It was probably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had do not rent this place.

Very hard to find your place,buildings are numbered weird and no directories or maps!No soap in showers, no hair dryer, NO SHEETS ON BED !!! No TV or internet, Toilet paper was limited! Bathrooms had old moldy grouted tiles.

Quick Girls Trip

My mother, my grandmother, my daughters, my cousin and her daughter all had a quick girls weekend and stayed at this listing. We had a wonderful time, the location was wonderful and the indoor pool was great for the kids. We would definitely stay again!

The property was easily accessed and the unit was spacious and well equipped for our family of 5. We were unable to get the TV to connect to Wifi during our stay, however, it did not bother us much it was one less thong for our kifs to argue about! There was a slight odor to the unit upon arrival which we purchased some small air fresheners and the odor went away. The unit was well decorated and the beds were comfortable. It could use a few fans since there is no AC. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony on the cool evenings watching the deer stroll through the resort grounds. Our family enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and playground. There are a lot of activities the area for families to participate in. We would stay here again!

Great Location

This property was in a great location to Beech Mountain, just 5 minute drive. It had easy access to the free sledding hill and right by the famous brick oven pizza joint. The condo was clean and cozy, just needs a few upgrades/maintenance, but we would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Condo

My friend and i stayed here for a quick weekend getaway to the mountains so we could take our kids whitewater rafting for the first time. The condo is in the perfect location beside Beech Mountain and close to Boone and Banner Elk. The condo is beautifully decorated and well stocked. The beds are so comfortable and huge closets for all of our things. Highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back.

The apartment is nicely equipped with pretty much everything a family needs for a comfortable stay. Location is great for hiking and skiing, about fourteen min from Grandfather Mountain. The host was great, responded very quickly to all our questions. Nice job managing the condo.

pinnacle condo

The unit is older and outdated but it was very clean and had everything we needed for a quick weekend wedding in the area. We did not spend much time there except to sleep and shower. It is a good location if you’re attending an event at Overlook Barn.

Beautiful location but missing a few things

Communication was great, as was the setting. Disappointed that bathrooms hadn't been thoroughly cleaned - hair in shower and on bathroom floor. Also disappointed that prior to heading to wedding, the dryer was broken and so couldn't do hair properly.

Unfortunately Disappointed

From the listing tis property held such potential but in reality, it was unfortunately disappointing. Lovely decor on point for mountain theme, and kitchen plus dining area were great with lots of seating and up-to-date appliances. But the furniture was so uncomfortable. The living room furniture was small for average-sized people (short backs on couches & chairs) and be aware there are foam beds without box springs so if those are not your jam comfortable sleep will be elusive.

Family Get Away

My family booked our stay on Beach to be in the mountains and have a view. The unit was clean and nicely decorated. The view of the mountains and ski slopes were somewhat blocked by the convenience center which was disappointing. The communication was through the property management company that is why the delay and non-response. Once we connected at the end of our stay things got a little better. Thank you for making the effort. We still enjoyed our stay and the mountain air.

Perfect for us, but maybe not for everyone.

This unit has many good aspects. 1. Plenty of Parking 2. Condo is clean and has a nice floorplan 3. Felt like home, plenty of space to put things 4. Can fit a lot of people, if you don't mind snuggling It also has some things that can be worked on: 1. The closets felt unfinished and messy. (There was junk stored and cleaner spilled in these areas) 2. The furniture is for smaller people and a bit cheap. 3. The heat and cooling were not working in two of the rooms, but the wall heater in the hallway made up for it. 4. The pool and spa were dirty, did not want to partake

Our Visit 2023

We have been visiting The Pinnacle Inn Resort for over 30 years. In the past when you rented units you were given a unit number,before booking which was nice because you could plan which building you were in and how many stairs you would need to climb or not climb. Now, when you rent units, you are not told the Unit number until you actually book your stay. For those who are visiting the first time, that may not be an issue, but for those who have stayed and for those who have limited mobility, it is a huge issue. This unit has been remodeled, which was nice since the units are older. It also had some nice touches like pool towels available in the hall, extra bath towels in the closet, the bathroom body wash and shampoos in the showers, nice decor and nice appliances. We did experience a few issues..dishwasher had dishes in it that were NOT clean, the dryer was full of towels that were still damp (so we had to rewash them), the master bedroom bed is only about 12 inches from the floor, so it was difficult to get in and out, the living room furniture was also very small, the bathtubs do not have any mat or strips on the bottom, so they are very slippery, the pans in the kitchen were very old and mostly unusable, the TV remotes in the bedrooms had been switched (so not usable until we figured it out). We neglected to check about the unit having a DVD player, so we almost were not able to do our family movie night as planned, but ended up using Netfix. Thank you!

Overall quality

Took awhile to figure out tv… property manager said there were instructions on mantel but there were not. Furniture was extremely uncomfortable and unusually small. The pool and hot tub were broken ( could not use ) one of the amenities I was looking for while booking. Zero communication that these were not working. Because of those not working we couldn’t use any of the other amenities ( game room, pool table, bath room, etc. ) in that building. All of these were advertised in the listing and I assume figured into the fee. Therefore, I paid for way more than I got. Had to teach myself how to work the radiators because there were no instructions. The one and only hair dryer provided did not work. There were towels hung all over the laundry room to air dry which made them stiff and scratchy. I was there for my daughter’s wedding so I had to go out and buy a hairdryer. The property itself is in need of a major overhaul. I rented the community center for a family gathering and was not able to use any of the amenities or the bathroom. Again, no prior notice of these things not working. Im sorry for the bad review but I feel if things were communicated I would not have been so extremely disappointed. Again, I feel that I paid for things that didn’t work or I couldn’t use.
