Perfect spot for a staycation and peaceful atmosphere. Ticked all the boxes and even had the chance to take the kayak out for a spin!

Herald Island Honey
Excellent place to stay to be close to the city. A couple of things to consider - if you have guests for longer than 3 days please supply more than one towel, one flannel per guest and one handtowel. Cleaning anything in wash basin was very difficult, especially trying to clean your teeth. Cheers Wendy Mason.

Comfortable, nicely decorated getaway in Auckland
We were lucky Emily had a few days available when we had to adjust our travel plans last minute following Hurricane Gabrielle. This is a nicely decorated and comfortable getaway. It's quite spacious compared to most tiny homes, with no ladders to climb. The bed is comfortable, the shower flow is great and we appreciated the kitchenette and the storage space. The neighbourhood is quiet and full of well-cared-for homes. Emily has even designated a convenient parking spot for visitors. There are no transit busses onto Herald Island, but we found we could take a short Uber ride to a cheap public transit ferry at Hobsonville Point, that takes you right to downtown Auckland. This is a quick and pleasant way to get to the city. If you are arriving at night, as we were, it's hard to see this dark building. It's to the right of the main house, on the road. Once you find the driveway with the street address on the fence, walk about 100 feet to your right along the road and you'll see the tiny home. The home can be warm in hot weather. Emily dropped off a fan when we mentioned it and we were able to keep the place comfortably cool by leaving the blinds down and the back windows open a crack during the daytime. This is a cute place at a great price in what can be an expensive city.

Awesome get away
I stayed here with my partner and it was a really nice get away. Good communication and easy to locate. Place is super cute! The only thing is the unit gets very hot and muggy. Access to a fan or some kind of aircon would make it even better. Thank you!
