We had a very nice time at Kristin and Gabe cottage! Everything was perfect, very clean place and close to very nice beaches on lake Ontario. Highly recommend. Thanks!
My family and I had a love stay at the bay house, thoroughly enjoying everhing it has to offer.
The house is perfectly situated at the end of the Bay of Quinte, giving you an easy access to everything the bay and the surrounding area have to offer along with an easy access to the Prince Edward County and all of its splendor. Trenton is only a short drive away with amenities for all of your needs, so truly the location is hard to beat.
We didn't feel the need to venture out to sandbanks and other sites because the house itself is a site in our opinion. A private access to a shallow sandy beach, big beautiful yard to play in is very hard to come by and it was all we needed for a calm, fun, relaxing week on the water.
The house is well stocked with everything you would need for a carefree stay; from inside to outside.
The owners are lovel, they made the check-in process a breeze and were accessible to answer any questions. It was an unexpected bonus to find a lot of books at the house that we were free to help ouselves to.
Yes, I recommend the bay house to anyone looking for a place to unwind and take in the beauty of bay; we certainly will be back when time permits.

About the host
Hosted by Kristin Dunlop
Hi there! We're Gabe and Kristin, the owners. We fell in love with Prince Edward County + Bay of Quinte area 15 years ago and have been coming back ever since. The mix of wineries, breweries, eateries, art galleries, live music, hiking trails, farm to table practises, family friendly parks and ex-pats from the city mingling with rural folk create an incredible vibe. This is one of the warmest and most down to earth places you can visit even though it has world class quality. The pace is slower out here and there's no better way to spend a sunny day than cruising from town to town - Consecon, Wellington, Bloomfield, Picton - to hit a coffee shop for brekky, check out a book store to snag a beach book, visit a patio for lunch at a brewpub, kick the afternoon at the beach and come home to wind down the evening bayside for a beach bonfire. This is how we spend our days and we think life doesn't get much better. We love the idea of sharing our little hidden gem with other couples and families to take a load off from the crazy hustle bustle of life. We are happy to make suggestions on some top spots in the area plus off the beaten trail "locals only" insider tips to help make your stay awesome. PS: Kristin is a certified sommelier (fancy for wine expert) and carries a brewers certificate from Cornell - if wine is your thing, she has the list of must-tastes from the local terroir (fancy for region)! Thanks for checking us out!
Why they chose this property
The proximity plus diversity of attractions is better than anywhere else in Ontario. Where else can you hit a beach all morning and go to a winery with an outdoor patio for dinner - within 10 mins drive from one another. Endless amounts of hiking trails, shore fishing, great beaches, 3 provincial parks, tons of water fowl, and indoor options should the weather get nasty: movie theatres, shopping, museums and more. If you want to be on a private rock lake and drive 30 mins into town for milk, go north.
If you want to be close to all kinds of activities from the whole fam within 10-15 mins, come here.
What makes this property unique
If you feel like going out, you've got tons of options to fill your day. If you feel like staying in, you've got a private beach, TV, A/C, wifi and a back patio. The best of both worlds.
