The Ballhooter Lift is right outside the building. Walk to shops, restaurants, and après-ski spots in The Village. Enjoy an on-site fitness center, community hot tub, sauna, and the inviting Hearth Room. 



Highland House offers secure entry, underground access from the bus stop, ski lockers, and more resort-style conveniences.



Whether you're skiing in winter or mountain biking in summer, this Highland House condo offers the perfect home base for your Snowshoe adventure, right where the action is, with all the comforts of home.

**Please Note: Snowshoe Mountain Resort temporarily closes from mid-October to Thanksgiving every year for transition from mountain bike season to ski season. It is a beautiful area to explore and plenty of outdoor adventures anytime of the year, but please know amenities will be limited. Please contact us with any questions.

A Few Notes to Mention

Snowshoe Mountain Resort is known as the Island in the Sky, providing top-rated amenities and entertainment at an elevation of 4848 feet in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Due to its location, there is no cell service within an hour from Snowshoe, and WIFI in the Village may be unreliable. Please be sure to have directions and contact numbers prior to traveling.



At Elevation Vacation Rentals we know how important connectivity is – even while vacationing – which is why we offer free WIFI at all our properties.



Ten days prior to your arrival you will have access to our online Guest Portal. The Guest Portal is your hub for important (and helpful!) information regarding your stay.

Great stay

Very nice place to stay, and it's great to be located in the middle of the village. The rooms are decorated well and the kitchen had all of the amenities you'd need.

Perfect Spot for Parents and Kiddos!

We visited with our 2 oldest boys, we’ve stayed at many different locations in the village but this by far was the best. The location of Highland House to ski school is perfect. Having the studio side of the condo was great for the kids and gave us a little more privacy as adults.

Great condo

Awesome stay. Loved the condo. Check out was a bit of a difficulty due to location but it was worth it to be right in the center of everything. Great weekend !!

Beautiful condo

Very nice condo with enough space for our family. Our only complaint was the condo had not been cleaned and we didn’t have any towels when we got there.

Super location

This location is great! Updated condo. Would stay again. Right on the Village w shuttle access to Silver Creek. Note- if you rent at Highland House there is sn unloading area on the circle by the shuttle bus. Key point: there is an underground access to highland house with luggage carts and elevators right there at the unloading area. At check in, the lady did not tell us about this access so we lugged our stuff making three trips outdoors up to the condo at 10pm in the snow! This access is excellent just wish we had known, so I hope the next renter sees this! Not the owners fault! 😍 Great stay! Would stay again!

Worst trio of my life

The basics that didn’t work and I would have over looked if we didn’t have the final straw: no heat on a 17 degree night. They offered for us to go pay for another expensive place to move and refund us for that much. We ended up having to move because it wasn’t safe for our children to be in those temperatures. It took over 3/4 hours to pack up alone (not to mention the unpacking/moving the car etc) and moving in the sub freezing temperatures with children. They said they couldn’t help us move. And the HVAC maintence person they sent literally only checked the breaker and then said: yup. It’s cold in here. Guess you’ll have to move out. Then they told me they can’t find someone because it’s a holiday week. That’s the reason we are renting up here and paying a premium-it’s a holiday. They offered a partial refund and we still had to pay the extreme cost to rent a new place at the last minute out of pocket. If not functioning heat isn’t enough for you. Here is what else was wrong:-The lockers not working (locked our skis in them and management couldn’t get them out-the group provided the wrong locker code)-the sheets don’t fit the bed (you’ll be fighting the fitted sheet all night)-sofa bed being broken (my children literally fell through it. They came and temporarily fixed it. But I’m guessing it won’t last)-toilet seat is broken (slammed and broke the skin on both my kids hands)-hot tub/gym was inaccessible/locked out-only one elevator working in the building
