About this property

Large house - 1600 sq ft, Large Acreage - 3 minutes south of Red Deer Alberta

Nothing like staying on a large quiet acreage so close to so many things.
Newly renovated, new floors and new paint.
4 Bedroom, entire lower floor 1600 sq ft, on a beautiful open acreage. Large windows. Eight guests only please.
There is a $50 pet fee and we ask they are never left alone and not on our furniture.

Total basement suite for you - 1600 sq ft. (NOT shared with anyone)
Only 3 min from Walmart, Costco, Tim's, Starbucks, A&W, Subway, Opa, KFC, Pizza, Edo, gas stations, car wash, grocery stores and numerous restaurants
Fully furnished - large full kitchen, stove etc.

Our well water is soft water which we love. We have recently installed a new water treatment system and reverse osmosis for drinking water. My wife and I live upstairs, quiet grand parents. Quick to help if you need anything. We don’t have to meet you if you prefer.

We enjoyed our stay. Lots of room for our adult children and grandkids to join us. The house was clean and had lots of amenities. It’s a short drive to Costco and gasoline alley as well as grocery stores. Very peaceful and quiet.

We were in Red Deer to attend a Celebration of Life for a family member. Brian and Connie’s place was the perfect place to be. It allowed 7 of us to stay together without feeling like we were on top of each other. The grounds were beautiful and allowed us some serenity. Brian and Connie were very attentive and made us feel very welcome. The layout of the home is very conducive to a large group. I would recommend it highly!

Great stay

It was great to be able to find a place where several of us from work could gather to do some focused work and have some really good connection. It was quiet, away from the hustle and bustle and the homeowners were so accommodating and kind. The suite was as advertised, quick drive to all amenities and didn’t have to look out at other houses. Acreage environment and city amenities.

Acreage stay for busy wedding weekend

Awesome location to enjoy your space yet be near the city activities. Connie was easy to communicate with and the house had everything we needed. It is very clean and instructions left are clear to understand. We filled all the beds for 3 nights without issue. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Host was super quick with check-in instructions and all inquiries before we came. Responded to our request for some firewood before arrival and had a friendly hello when we arrived. The lower level was huge for us! Family of 4 with tons of space. Wifi was suitable, free satellite and access to things like Netflix with your account. Huge area in the backyard for activities and my kids loved picking rasberries and cooking Smores. They have a BBQ outbaack to grill. This will be my go-to for Red Deer vacations!

Family Stay

We stayed here with our three children. It was great with a nice outdoor space for the kids to run around and play sports. There was also a basketball net for them to play with. The owners we very helpful with requests including using the washer and dryer. We would recommend this property.

Great Weekend

We had a great weekend at this property - it's exactly what we were looking for. Clean, easy to access and great communication from hosts. It was the perfect size for our group - 2 adult couples and 3 young kids, and the kids loved it. There were no stairs within it which was actually perfect so we didn't have to worry about our kids on stairs. Thanks for hosting us! 😊

Great Weekend

We were here for our dog show. We had a wonderful stay. This is exactly what we needed for us and our dogs they had 5 acres to run around and were very happy. The house inside was big, bright and clean, everything there you needed was there. The beds were comfortable was just like home. This property is exactly as shown and is actually bigger than you think. The owner let us know that there is a railway track across hwy 2A and my family knew it was a sign that we should stay here. We were in town from Edmonton, Calgary and Standard to celebrate the life of our brother Tom. He worked for the railway for 37 years and soon after we arrived the train whistle greeted us. This may sound hokey but we knew our brother was with us at that moment. The grounds of this property are beautiful and we were able to enjoy them in spite of the windy weekend. Thank you.

I guess I have learned a lesson! On TV commercials VRBO advertise that you get the entire property. Had I read the listing closer I would’ve realized that we had the bottom of the home, which was fine but unexpected. I was very disappointed every night when two or three times a night the train went by and honked their horn! The linens were not as I expected but were adequate. Our hosts were nice.

Hi Karen It was great to meet you and have you stay at our place. It was a surprise to us that you didn’t like a few things. sorry. In the summer we use cooler - light sheets, and keep the warmer soft flannel sheets for the winter. Yes, the train, even though a ways away can honk their horn, especially if windows are open, we mention this in our description. Our place is very big at 4 bedrooms 1600 sq ft and 2.5 washrooms and we feel a GREAT PRICE of $150 a night (a May booking price) for your 8 adults each night on an acreage so close to town. Nothing we know is even close to that price. I am glad you found us nice, we try our best to do all we can to make it a great experience and keep our high rating.

We have 4 married adult children and 13 adorable grandchildren.

We have lived on our acreage for over 27 years. Our children have grown up and have families on their own, so we converted the entire 1600 sqft - 4 bedroom - walk out lower floor of our house for nightly rental. Totally separate with a private entrance.
It can be rented as a
1 Bedroom
or a 2 Bedroom
or a 3 Bedroom, even a 4 bedroom if you have a large family.

We also love camping and when we are not using our RV Camper, we are listing it on VRBO for a Outdoor camping experience.
