All the comforts of home, clean and very comfortable, with a communicative and helpful host. Stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed a great sunny weekend on the lake, with the family.
Beautiful property, spacious bedrooms and living areas. Lots of stairs. It was very quiet and tranquil in the area. We really enjoyed our stay and are thinking of coming back next summer.

I’m glad to hear our place suited your group of 6 guests. Safe travels home
Stayed for 2 nights in June 2025. Great rental property. Hosts were very responive. Everything was as advertized and more. Nice to have use of a garage. Driveway was large enough to park two trucks and boats. Really good boat launch was only 5 mins away. Beaver lake is a beautiful lake. Fishing was good. Would highly recommend this property. Will probably stay there again.
This property was exactly as advertised. No surprises. Ruth was an amazing host! She was very responsive and accommodating to our slightly shifting schedule. We were in town for an archery tournament and Ruth even went above and beyond to provide us with folding chairs and a pop-up canopy that we could take to the range for some added comfort! The house was spacious and immaculate. The neighbourhood was very peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend this property. You'll be happy you stayed there!
Stayed here a weekend with some family and everything was absolutely perfect! The house is very spacious as shown, the teens liked the bed and bath in the furnished basement. Lake access was very close and nice for canoeing. Gorgeous views from upstairs! I would 100% recommend and rebook it.

I’m so glad you found our vacation house perfect for your group. Also, happy to see you used the wood-burning fireplace. Safe travels!
This was truly a home away from home. So cozy, welcoming and comfortable. The host, Ruth has truly thought of everything to ensure a great stay and has stocked the home with everything imaginable, right down to doggie dishes, toothbrushes, books and games. The pantry was even stocked with dry goods and spices/seasonings. The home is nicely decorated, the beds are comfortable and Ruth was very responsive to my messages, before, during and after our stay. I would recommend Ruth and this property 100 times over and we will be back!
This site has everything you need. 4 bedrooms, 4 beds, all linens, full kitchen. Host communications are prompt, personal, and professional. Large driveway for both our boats with trucks attached.

Kristen, thank you for your review. I’m glad we exceeded your expectations, hope to have you back again soon!
Quite location and nicely maintained house. My family enjoyed the stay in the vacation home. The house is clean and huge. Kitchen is well equipped with utensils and cooking needs. My kids really liked the bonus room and spent a lot of time watching Netflix when we weren't out to the park. Driving to the provincial park is convenient and we spent days in the park and nights in the house. Ruth, the host, is really nice and easy to communicate to. We left our sous vide cooker in the house and Ruth brought it back to us to Edmonton. Overall, 5 stars for the house and host. It's our yearly camping destination with other 3 families and we will definitely consider renting the house again if we don't stay in the park lake cabin. Well worth the month renting the big house than staying in Ramada hotel in Lac La Biche.

About the host
Hosted by Ruth Farrow
Ruth and Todd are a retired military couple with 2 teenagers. We are fans of VRBO and Homeaway and stayed in many wonderful VRBO homes in California and Florida. Their reasons for choosing VRBO as travellers is the self-catering opportunities (son’s peanut allergy), and the large amount of square footage in the home compared to a hotel. VRBO properties let the kids have their own space on rainy days.
Why they chose this property
Lac la biche is a wonderful outdoor playground, where 4 seasons of adventures await. The property is squeaky clean, with simple classic furniture, cozy bedrooms and full kitchen.
What makes this property unique
We feel the awesome location near Beaver Lake on a quiet street provide great value for travellers. Plus dogs are welcome.
