The property is in a great location! The beach is just behind the property, quick easy access. Publix is less than a mile down the road. The owner was very responsive & provided specific details to make our stay comfortable.
This is a cute beach house large enough for a family of 4 . Too bad the tile floor is completely comming apart and

Great location; helpful host
The cottage is steps away from the beach! The beach was practically empty at times and it was very relaxing. A short drive to downtown where there are lots of shops and restaurants to explore. Host was very kind and responsive. Check in/out was a breeze.

Beach house
Very cute house however floor is comming off . Needs new tile floors . House is spacious and on beach . Close drive to downtown .
The beginning of the trip was enjoyed by my parents for their 44th wedding anniversary and then my family and I came to enjoy the last night all together and see the moon rise over the ocean and then the sun rise over the ocean. Besides the tile needing to be replaced (which they are doing) this cottage was clean and felt like a home away from home! Kimberly was communicative and friendly the entire time! We can’t wait to come back!

Stay okay!
Pleasant stay. Wonderful thanksgiving dinner was made in the cute kitchen. Close to ocean but not really on it—could only see a tiny sliver of water from door/window. No firepit as shown on listing. It’s an old house with character but in need of some tile work—many tiles so shattered that they are more like gravel than tile. BUT the place was super clean and Kim was an awesome communicator—made the stay even more delightful!

Location was perfect.
The house was lacking in cleanliness and the kitchen did not have the basics, like a can opener. The bathrooms needed serious updating. All the drains in the house were extremely slow draining

Review of Our Recent Stay – Not Clean and Poor Conditions
I wish I could say our stay was better, but it was very disappointing. The house was dirty—two of the four beds had sand in them, the furniture smelled bad, and the dishes were sticky and not clean. The laundry area is outside, which would have been fine, but a heads-up would have been appreciated. The worst part was the lack of heat. This was a Christmas trip for my family, and it was cold. The only heat source was the oven and three small heaters for the entire house. This made it especially difficult since I have a child who needs a clean, comfortable environment due to her illness. We ended up leaving a day early. I would not recommend this property. The only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one is because the host did send a welcoming text, but the conditions were truly closer to one star.

Pros-
Great location. Steps from beach, close to historic St Augustine
Comfortable beds
Cons-
(we)2 senior citizens, a young couple and 10 month old baby rented for 4 days, 3 nights.
-it’s Hot! Bring fan(s). Each bedroom has a AC unit however, the main living area has a tiny unit that can not keep up with the heat. We were promised fans from the beginning but never did receive.
-Dining room and living room furniture is in bad shape. Several dining room chairs have visible repairs, one we removed because I was concerned it might collapse. -Floor Tiles in kitchen and dining room have numerous cracks, covered mostly with throw rugs. OK for adults but potential safety issue for little ones.
-no hot water
-no Wi-Fi due to wrong info given. Huge issue when having multiple baby monitors/devices. Was rebooted late on second day.
-grill does not work.
-We had company our last evening another young couple with baby. No party! While we were eating dinner on the patio a gust of wind hit the umbrella and shattered the glass top table. Two people received minor cuts. I notified management via text right away. Management came to door at 8:30pm telling us to Vacate immediately. They never asked if everyone was okay, just accused us of “destroying their property “.. They called the police trying to reinforce us to leave, instead the Officers looked all inside and out and suggested we take pictures to CYA.
- Let’s just say our relaxing vacation turned into a stressful stay.
There was more, but we’re not trying to be petty.
It appears we were first to rent and it showed. This place has great potential, however I do hope that they make some improvements to make it a pleasant and comfortable stay for others moving forward.
The little cottage was in a great location, easy access right out to the beach. During a thunderstorm the electricity went out a few times and we had to go around another unit to reset the breaker. Outside shower to rinse off all the sand was great!
This is an old cottage, don’t expect any frills but it was a perfect stay for two teenagers and three adults with the pull out sofa sleeper!
