The house had everything we needed and it is apparent they take great care in the cleanliness of the space. They have tons of information written on site and the bathrooms and kitchen are fully stocked. The hosts live nextdoor and are easy to get a hold of with any questions. The location is quiet but near the highway, which is super helpful. Would stay here again!

From the owner: “Thank you so much for your wonderful review. The Monterey Hideaway tries to make everyone feel right at home, my house is your house."
This VRBO was in the perfect location for our family visit. It saved us time spent in traffic, is conveniently located close to a grocery store & restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet & safe. And it was stocked with so much - coffee, tea, toiletries & bottled water - AMAZING! Really enjoyed our stay.

The property was the cleanest ive wver stayed in. The interior was well appointed & cozy. The host was very helpful & friendly. I cant wait to stay there again!
The unit was very comfortable and had plenty of room. There were only two of us for this stay, but is suitable for two couples. the kitchen was outfitted very well. Nice dining area and comfortable living room. Both beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and had everything we needed. It was nice to have a laundry room available. We used it once. Although the unit was part of a duplex house, the configuration and shrubs and fences made it feel very private. There were lovely hanging plants and little sitting areas outside as well. I would definitely return if I come to the area again.

We did a lot of things in Portland and used the Max public transit. This property is so close to a park and ride. Never had to worry about downtown or zoo parking. Close to groceries and good pizza. Loved our time there.
Host was nice and accommodating

From the Owner: "Thank you so much for your great review. You're welcome back anytime my friends, Monterey Hideaway"
My family of five had a comfortable stay in this Portland duplex.
The owners live in the other half of the duplex and they are very hospitable and responsive. The house is very well equipped with everything you’ll need to feel at home.
The location is convenient to many different activities, and it’s a very quiet neighborhood.
We recommend staying at this house.

From the owner: "We are happy you loved our home. Please stay with us again. Monterey Hideaway"
This was a perfect home for us. It was roomy and met our needs for the two of us and our daughter. She had surgery on a Friday and could recuperate well there until her post-op appointment on Monday. It was great to have the two bathrooms so she could have her own. It was well equipped including pantry items. We appreciate that she could get in early to drop off her items. This home had an easy access to the freeway. We were able to take city streets to the hospital and it went smoothly. We would stay there again. Thank you!

Thank you for your wonderful review of the Monterey Hideaway. I am so happy to hear your daughter is doing well. Most of our guests have been sent from St Vincent Hospital through word of mouth, and we are very thankful to have helped through the many patients of heart transplant recovery to many cancer survivors. Again, thank you for your kind words. We appreciate you and your family.

Just What We Needed
This comfy home was in the perfect location for our weekend needs! Our sons live in Beaverton and graduated from Univ. of Portland. The location was ideal. The house itself was homey and comfortable. There were extra blankets, and plenty of food in the pantry. I even baked a ham in the oven. The owners checked in with us and were ready to provide anything we needed.

Highly Recommend this Cozy Cottage!
Lovely little VRBO cottage!! Highly recommend and would gladly stay at again! Our family of four had some initial hesitations about it being a "duplex" but it's not your traditional townhouse! You have a shared driveway and trashbins/recycling bins but that's all. Everything is very private, you have two entry doors, separated from the main house by hedges. There was very minimal sound transfer because there's only one shared wall. The neighborhood is quiet and scenic. The location is also very close to two major highways and makes travelling a breeze. It was our first VRBO adventure and it was a great experience. We picked this one for the following amenities and were not disappointed!:-1 off-street parking space (and there's actually a fair amount of street parking that is not on a major road)-full kitchen with a coffee bar (at the time of stay there were K-Cup and traditional pot options) and plenty of cookware-in-house washer and dryer (bring your own laundry detergent)-Central HVAC!-2 bed, 2 bath (the beds and couch were very comfortable!)-WiFi- quiet neighborhood at night! If I ever have family/friends visiting the area, I would gladly recommend this cozy space! Thanks to the owners for sharing such a wonderful home!
We arrived to Oregon earlier than expected. I sent the host a text just to check if we could possibly check in earlier. Without hesitation he immediately let me know it was ok. I was traveling with small children and it would have been difficult to wait till check in time of 3pm. Our Host was sooo kind and generous. He left ice cream for the kids in the freezer and snacks as well. Anything we needed he was quick to answer and very communicative. The place was clean, very lovely. It felt very warm and inviting. It's right next to the freeway so everything is close. Definitely will be staying there next time I come to Oregon.
