Graduation Hideaway!
Thank you so much for a great stay and for accommodating our late arrival.
The place was beautiful. Clean, comfortable beds and everything we needed. Easy to find and would definitely stay there again when we had a little more time.
We came to the area for FSU Family Weekend but didn’t want to be in the crowds. We could not be happier with our decision! Our son was thrilled to escape Tally but still be close enough to take us back to campus for the game and see his dorm. The home was beautiful, beds were all comfy and lots of closet space. We enjoyed the space to just hang out as a family for a few days & enjoy the natural beauty of the area. While hanging out downstairs, a bear cub wandered past! Thank you for sharing your well appointed home. We loved the space, comfort and artwork! We hope to be back!
The property was the perfect layout for a family. Seeing all the white squirrels, deer and the two black bears was a treat. Boat ramp just down the road and close to Mashes sands boat ramp as well. Overall a great place to stay with everything we needed.
What a perfect place in peaceful Panacea! House is lovely, well stocked, and tastefully decorated. Honestly, the pictures don’t do it justice! Thank you for a lovely escape!

Mimi’s getaway
Truly was the most peaceful and relaxing experience. Our accommodations were wonderful, the house was clean, looked brand new, and it was well stocked. location was perfectly placed between all the spots we visited in the area. It was such a peaceful setting nestled in the between the trees and the slights view of the water. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone.
Absolutely wonderful accommodation, clean, roomy, nicely decorated and great location. This was the most relaxing and peaceful place I’ve stayed in along time. We recharged our very depleted bodies. We will definitely be back during crab season.
I must make one recommendation please add a blow dryer to at least one bathroom and a pen and paper. Other than that you had everything we could have possibly needed.
This home is a gem! Tucked away but easy to locate. Well thought out and and prepared for a get away. We saw a lot of wildlife just off the deck porch. We enjoyed setting up a coffee photography session in the mornings to capture the playful white squirrels, grazing deer, and gliding hawks. The original artworks throughout the home are a lovely addition. The waterway is close and was easily accessible for our kayaks and paddleboards. Saving this one to our favorites listing to visit again! Thank you!

TVs and Dogs
The stay was great! Local dogs were loose making it difficult to check-in the house without shoo'ng them away with a shovel. Trash was behind the house all over the place. Lastly, the guest bedroom televisions were inoperable.
Mentioned to host but no resolution.

Response from VrboOwner on 6 July 2023
Hi Tami, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
-We try our best to provide a great environment for guests, while we cannot control dogs in the area that are loose, we are sorry if this made your stay less relaxing. We had not received a complaint about this yet, but we understand how this could have a negative impact on a guest's stay.
-We apologize for the trash issue. The garbage can is "bear proof" that is outside and is supposed to prevent the trash from going all over, but there must have been some very pungent trash in there. Also, bears are a part of the area; that is sometimes unavoidable.
-Communication is highly important to us and we are always readily available to answer any questions or concerns, the property manager never got a call or a word response. As with any guest concerns, we would have been happy to address the TV's right away for a most comfortable stay.
-We are always available to address any issues that arise, and we encourage guests to reach out right away should they need anything. We will follow up with the said items to ensure our high standards are being met and exceeded.
Thank you for your comments, as they will help us resolve any issues for our next guests.
We fell in love with this home. When you walk in the house and you smell bleach and cleaning products, you know it has been cleaned correctly!!! The master shower is awesome!
The home is well furnished and has everything you would require. Thanks, Robin. It was a great location for us and we kept looking for the bears. They or it always managed to turn over the garbage can and all we could see was a shadow leaving! We loved sitting on the deck watching the white squirrels and listening to the birds.
Hopefully we can return next winter for a longer visit.
There are steps up to the house and the listing clearly states that. We managed them just fine. My only suggestion would be to have a higher bed/ mattress set up in the master bedroom. That is a personal preference because both of our homes have tall bed/mattress set up. I can't find fault with this home at all. Robin is wonderful and so is Mr. Gardner. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay.
The property is beautiful and well kept. There is a local bear that does like to get the trash so don't put it out until you leave and be sure to watch for him. It was pretty cool to experience him and watch him. Mattresses are very comfortable and the master bath shower is AMAZING!! Be sure to bring plenty of ice for your coolers and store it in the freezer. All the neighbors are friendly and helpful. Everything was great. The only thing that I was a little disappointed in was there was not enough toilet paper and paper towels for the entire week and we did not know to get extra while we were at the grocery store so we had to get it from the convenience store. We hope to be back again next year!
We booked the rental for our fishing/scalloping trip. Great location and lots of room for our 24 foot boat and truck. The boat ramp was only 200 feet away. The house was great. The kitchen was fully stocked. We highly recommend this rental.
House was beautiful, clean and well stocked. If your looking for a little hole in the wall to enjoy nature and separate yourself from city life this is it. Shops are with in a resonable drive distence but not too close giving you the chance to enjoy lots of wild life including an albino squirrel. Fishing was lucrative and the beaches had very little trafic.
My husband and I have a daughter who goes to FSU and we went down to check on her place and do a little fishing. We also had friends go with us. The home was perfect for us! Everything was nice, clean and easy to use. Plenty of room. Loved the large primary shower! Kevin, the homeowner, sent a welcoming message to make sure we were all good and had what we needed. We hope to come back to stay again soon.
