Stylish Gastown Loft w/ Soaker Tub & Fireplace

Hipspace rentals presents this custom designed loft with the perfect mix of elegance and comfortability: ideal for a couple's retreat, a family visit, or a business trip. It's 1200 sq ft (120 sq metres) of unique space right in the centre of Gastown Vancouver. Our brick and beam loft has been completely restored with every modern convenience. 20 ft ceilings (6 meters) hardwood floors, marble counter tops, king sized bed, queen sized bed, soaker tub, and a relaxing steam room are some of the luxury finishes.

The suite is close to many great shops, and attractions as well as Rogers Arena, BC Place, Vancouver Convention Centre, the Sea Bus, and the Skytrain to the airport. We are located in the entertainment district so there are acclaimed restaurants and bars all around us and weekends can get noisy from the street and music in the area.

Other details to note:

Depending on the season, we may not approve booking requests that leave a one night vacancy before or after the request. Please inquire about 2-night bookings. Minimum 4-night bookings are required during the Christmas/New Years holiday, unless approved otherwise.

The unit is located on the second floor - there is no elevator.
The loft stairs inside the suite are steep and open. Not recommended for younger or unattended children, or people with mobility challenges.

If you require a pack and play, we have one that must be reserved in advance and is based on availability.

One off-site secure underground parking spot is included with this rental. The spot is located in a separate building 4 short blocks away. Detailed instructions are provided in your guest guide upon booking.

Pets are not allowed unless authorized by the owner prior to check in. Service animals are only permitted when assisting someone with a disability.

This is an old building with high ceilings. Our AC and fans allow for some cooling and circulation, which provides comfort during the summer months. Cooling below 24 C (78F) during the hottest weather periods can be challenging. If you require cooler temperatures you may want to consider alternative accommodations.

Remove personal items and remove leftover food and drinks
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please read our guest guide's "departure checklist" page for detailed check out instructions.
The parking FOB (remote) must be returned to the lock box
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Only registered guests are allowed on the premise without permission; children must always be supervised. Unregistered guests my be evicted and fined.
Changing/removing cables from AV equipment is prohibited; a rewiring fee may be incurred. No candles of any kind! $250 charge for lost parking FOB.
Late check-outs (not pre-arranged) will incur a $60 per hour fee, min one hour. A $30 fee is charged for lost items that we return mail to guests.

Beautiful loft in Gastown

Great location and perfect for the four of us. Very walkable to a variety of great restaurants and venues. The master was the nicest I've ever seen in a short term rental, with a huge walk in closet, wonderful high ceilings and huge bathroom. Would stay again if we come back to Vancouver!

Luxury Loft was just that. Be as fully appointed, clean and great location. Only drawback was the pub below us on a Friday night. All other nights were ok.

Beautiful Loft Style

The condo is beautiful, amazing room on the second floor. Stairs can be a little tight to navigate large suitcases up, but not a big deal. Check in progress, was seamless and they allowed us to drop our bags early!! Steps away from amazing food and nightlife

Excellent!

Fun busy location with lots of options for food and drinks. The accommodations are beautiful, comfortable. A loft style, old building modernization like you see in movies. Was a bit worried about the locations proximity to Hastings, but it is in the heart of the touristy part of gas town so we never felt unsafe. Thank you!

Great Stay in Vancouver

My wife, infant, and I had a great stay at this loft. It wasn't too loud for us (though we live in NYC) and had plenty of space. There was a lot of kitchen utensils and all the pots and pans we could use. Having a washer and dryer in the loft was great for washing our infant's clothing. There are some great restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Communication with the hosts was great and they tried to be as flexible as possible. I would stay here again!

Beautiful loft in Gastown

We recently stayed in this beautiful loft and couldn’t have been more happy with our stay. The property manager, Mei Ling, was wonderful to communicate with and our check in/out process was seamless. The loft itself was clean and very roomy. Despite being on top of a popular bar, we heard zero noise (who did this soundproofing?! We heard nothing despite there being a loud dance floor right below us). Awesome place right in Gastown and we will definitely stay here for our next Vancouver trip!

Holiday outing

Beautiful loft on the border between Gastown and a section of Vancouver suffering from urban decay, homelessness, and rampant open drug use. Turn right out of the door and Gastown offers decent restaurants and shopping. Turn left and you enter drug zombie land.

Wonderful Stay!

We loved our stay - everything about it was great. The location, the communication from the hosts, the cleanliness. The apartment is well appointed and very clean. We loved having a washer/dryer and the kitchen was well equipped. Gastown is centrally located near the train station, and other transportation. It is an eclectic and vibrant neighborhood with great restaurants and shopping. We have two suggestions - one is to add hooks in the downstairs bathroom to hang towels, and the other is directions for how to use the split. During our stay it was a bit warm and the fans didn’t cool the upstairs enough. But having the fans was a plus! This historical building is choice and we would definitely stay again and highly recommend it. Thank you!

A Gas in Gastown!

As designer I enjoyed the complexity, and finish of the interior. Beautifully arranged spaces made our stay comfortable. If your looking for a quiet Vancouver experience Gastown may not be for you as the Loft is directly over a popular public house. My 25 year old son choose the Loft to place us right in the middle of all the great restaurants and night life. Greek, French, and breakfast restaurants are directly across the street. All very good! The homeless and addict presence was avoidable. As San Franciscan's we sort of used to it. Would we book the Loft again? YES! Have Fun all!

Very stylish accommodations right in Gastown. Your hosts are super attentive and helpful. You are within walking distance of lots of bars, restaurants and shopping. This place is ideal for people looking for a cool weekend getaway for food & drink and shopping. Lots of people have commented on the stairs. They’re no joke. Very cool spiral stair case to the loft bedroom. If mobility is an issue for you this might not be the place for you. Everything you could need for is provided for your stay. Your hosts have thought of everything. About the location…it is very close to people experiencing homelessness and addiction issues. At no point did I or anyone staying with us feel unsafe or concerned. It is worth mentioning because it is a shocking scene just a few blocks away. This is in no way a knock on the hosts, it is just worth mentioning in the review so potential guests are aware and don’t slight the hosts. As mentioned, no one in our group felt unsafe, but this location may not be for everybody. All in all a super cool, super fun location. Lots of food choices and bars within walking distance. The accommodations are modern and clean against a historical backdrop. Very chic and hip. Potential guests couldn’t ask for better hosts. Very attentive and communicative. We had a great time! Eddie and Marv are brothers who originated in California, then moved to Vancouver, Canada, when they were young. Both love Vancouver, but always longed for their California roots. So they decided to enjoy the best of both worlds. And also a new one. The pair own, design and renovate special spaces in Vancouver, San Diego and Las Vegas. They make it their lifestyle to travel in between the homes, to constantly improve them, and share them with others.

Eddie is a snowboarder, rock climber, and sax player. Marv is an avid golfer, vegan, and sport enthusiast. Both Eddie and Marv have traveled all over the world.
