Koala Corner. Comfy one bedroom studio set in landscaped gardens.
Koalas in the back yard, Kangaroo's in the front. This stylish little self contained studio apartment is super comfy. Enjoy ocean breezes and the sound of waves before retiring to your fully air conditioned, one bedroom apartment, which has an ensuite bathroom and toilet. Located 350 metres from the Adder Rock bus stop, you don't even need to bring your car. But if you do, on site parking is available. Fully self contained with a brand new, super comfy Queen size bed, the studio is perfect for singles or a couple. This cute little one bedroom studio has a kitchenette, bathroom (oversized shower recess) and toilet. It has an attached undercover outdoor area.
If you don't have a car, we offer use of our 4WD Toyota Land Cruiser as part of your accommodation package. It's usually $350 per day (with the beach permit), however we can offer it to our guests "as a run around" for $100 per day, plus the fuel you use. That way you don't even need to bring a car over. You can use ours and live the life of a local. Please note, that this rate does not include the beach permit for driving on the beach. If you want to do that, we have to run through the safe operation of the 4WD, the tide times and the weather forecast, just so you are safe comfortable and ready to have a good time. Driving on the beach with the beach permit included, costs our guests $200 per day, plus the fuel you use. Please note:- these special rates are available if the car is used during your stay over multiple days. We do not offer single day use at these rates. "Oasis" is a great restaurant, located just down the road. It's Mexican fusion, with a great range of wood fired pizza. They also do the best King Fish Ceviche I've ever tasted. Best of all they offer a courtesy bus for pick up and drop off. Their number is 0499 409 198. Send them a text to book in. The Straddie Hotel is now fully refurbished, open for business and so much fun. They also run a courtesy bus.
We can also let you know where to shop, which beaches are the best given the prevailing weather conditions, even where to catch a fish if that's what you feel up to doing.

Convenient location it had everything we needed. Small but well equipped. Unusual set up as you walk right into the bathroom. Bed was very comfortable.
Great little spot. Shady trees on the property and a quiet street. The apartment is small, but has everything I needed. Comfy bed, linen, kitchenette with crockery, toaster, microwave and small fridge. Perfect for my 3 day getaway to go fishing and 4wd on the beach. Very convenient to shops for fuel, ice, bait and food.
Perfect base for exploring North Stradbroke Island. Clean, fresh. Great location with easy access to beach, shops and bus lines. Nice neighbors and the owner Paul was incredibly accommodating. Highly recommend.
This is a great base from which to explore the island. The apartment is fresh, clean and ideally situated. Paul, the property manager, is accessible, responsive and accommodating. Neighbors are delightful, including the kookaburras. Highly recommend.
Great place to stay. Only wish I had phone reception or WiFi. I missed family phone calls and emails
Overall, clean and tidy, comfortable bed. Nice big shower with shampoo and conditioner, but no soap!

Hi Peter,
Unfortunately only Telstra works effectively on Straddie. Sorry about the soap thing. I will try and find some of those single use soap packets. Thanks for choosing our place to stay.
Kind regards

The unit was nice and clean. well equiped for a couple it was great. no issues with bonds or refunds was a plus.Maybe a catcher on the mower would prevent grass clippings being carried into unit . a privacy screen between shower and lounge area would be good. A small barrier between the doorway and toilet seat so your not so exposed if somebody walks in. We were in the bottom unit ,There might have been a very large person occupying the level above us and the stomping was very annoying as it went on throughout the night . apart from that it is a great place to stay. Thanks Mick S.

Comfortable and well-equipped studio for single or couple. Nice quiet location surrounded by established gardens and bush. Walkable to home beach and adder rocks, bowlo , and coffee van. Delightful neighbour / assistant host who was most helpful with suggestions for transport and a wealth of fascinating local history - thanks Gwennie !
Slightly unusual entrance directly into the bathroom.
A most enjoyable stay to attend an island wedding.

When our team member arrived they had no knowledge of the booking. It was a bit awkward at first until they acknowledged they had missed the booking.
Good for what we need 1 night for a work job locally.
