Antrim Cottage
Amazing property with fantastic lake view and private beach. 6 of us for 3 nights. Plenty of room. Nice comfortable beds. The large deck and huge yard makes being outdoors so easy. Very nice beach with shallow water . Overall stay was perfect. David is a great host and we are looking forward to booking again

Laid back and friendly
This is a well thought out and cared for property with a comfortable, laid back charm. The hosts are attentive and very nice. A great location right next to the waves on the lake. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and a rockin' thunderstorm...plus barbecuing on the large deck and a wood stocked fire pit. Thanks for a great stay!

I am a newly retired high school principal, having worked my entire time overseas, Hong Kong & China. My wife, son & I have just returned back to Ontario, taking up permanent residence on the shores of Lake Erie. My son will be attending a local primary school in nearby Blenheim.

Why they chose this property

The name of this cottage is "Antrim", taken from the name of the small hamlet which was being developed at Big Creek, just 300 meters east of the property, in the early 1800's. The village was abandoned due to the silting up of the small working harbour, sometime in the 1830's.
This history, the location and the former use of the home as part of a large farmstead makes Antrim Cottage an interesting, cozy and good "bones" home for your gatherings, as I had the chance with my own family & friends since purchasing it in 1997. Our moto is: “The essence of a house is the friends who frequent it”
