The house was perfect! Clean, organized, comfortable. The hot tub was on and ready to enjoy. If in this area again I will stay here.

Quiet Retreat in the Woods
Our stay here was nice! The hot tub and game room were highlights with our group. The walkway down to the fire pit is a bit steep, but so is the driveway (and all the neighborhood roads). Great location with easy access to attractions and grocery stores. Would stay again!

From the owner: "Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this review! We're so happy you had a great time with your family at the Cozy Bear. We hope you all can come back someday!"
We enjoyed this reasonably priced and excellent property during our spring break vacation. The kids loved having their own space downstairs in the bunk room with game area and tv/couch. It was a pretty drive in and out of Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg areas.
Home was perfect for a family visit. It has everything you need, (except an iron), and is very comfortable for multiple family members. Process was easy, didnt need to contact property manager for anything. Would definately stay again.

From the Owner: "Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this wonderful review! We are so glad you and your family enjoyed your visit."
It was a nice house with a lot of potential! Clean inside, and plenty of space for a family of 7! The driveway was awful getting in and out of. Light bulbs out of various fixtures. Toilet in master bedroom ran entire time. Trash was left from previous stay in the garage. The property management was kind and easy to communicate with.

Wonderful home
The home was fantastic. Nice, very clean and the hot tub was not musty at all. Wonderful vacation for my grandchildren and myself. The only downfall was the driveway big ruts if you have a low car it will definitely drag the bottom my suv did.

From the owner: "Hi Karen, thank you so much for taking the time to leave this review! We are so glad you and your grandchildren had a wonderful vacation at the Cozy Bear. We strive to create an atmosphere for special time with families."
We loved the trip, and the location was perfect for a quiet place to relax. Only complaint was the main driveway has a big dip, but it does specify to use a specific driveway to the side entrance so that was helpful. Last day we had power outage, and the property manager was easy to get ahold of and was super nice and accommodating. Thank you so much.

We rented the house for four days over Thanksgiving, two families of four all together. Great location for nearby Pigeon Forge and Knoxville. House spacious and fun. Had some problems with plumbing, but owner pulled out all the stops to get it fixed, and was very accommodating. Appreciated!
The house was so adorable, and very clean!! So much space for everyone. The property owner was prompt and efficient with a small electrical issue we had. (The breaker box needed flipped). The property owner was very polite and helpful as well. The location was super quiet and very relaxing. We 100% would stay again.
My sisters and I were planning a casual weekend getaway, and this place was fantastic! Well priced with plenty of room for us to gather but still have our own space when needed. The house was clean and had all the amenities we needed. We played games, made dinner together, enjoyed the hot tub, and had a wonderful time relaxing on the balcony. When we first checked in there was a small maintenance issue we noticed and called up the guest contact who sent someone over right away. The gentleman they sent got everything fixed up with no issues and the quick service was greatly appreciated. 10/10, we would definitely stay here again!!

Response from VrboOwner on 11 July 2023
From the owner: "Hi Cynthia, we are so glad you enjoyed your time at the Cozy Bear! Since the location is so private and guarded by trees, we like to let the natural light in. But we will consider your curtain idea for sure. Thanks again."
The cabin fit our family of 5 plus my in laws very comfortably as far as space goes. Overall, it was a fine experience but the cabin itself was run-down. The gutters were filled with leaves and weeds growing tall as you approach the house- it seemed as though no one had inhabited the place or checked up on it in a long time. According to the guest book, there had surprisingly been several other guests that stayed in recent weeks. No big deal, as we mostly spent our days in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and were busy during the days.A few things to know about so you’re prepared: There were no extra linens for the beds, so we didn’t have enough pillowcases for the pillows. On the King size bed, there were just two pillows. There were extra pillows in the closet but no pillowcases for them. The lights in the closets did not work, and the toilet in the master bedroom was running non-stop. The roof in the garage where the dart board is located started leaking, and while the landlord was responsive and sent someone out to look at it- there was nothing they could do while we were there. On a positive note, my teen sons enjoyed hanging in the hot tub and they loved the ping pong table, and having their own space in the basement. The bonfire pit is down a very treacherous walk downhill, so we ended up never making it down to have a fire.

We're so glad you enjoyed your stay at the Cozy Bear and that your family had a fun and relaxing time in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We're also happy to hear your teen sons enjoyed a fun, relaxing time together with the amenities. The homeowner would like to share the following:- The home is regularly maintained, though, as a mountain property, leaves and weeds can accumulate quickly between visits.- The fire pit is rustic by design, and we understand that the walk down can be challenging for some guests.- According to our property manager, the plumber believed the garage leak may have been caused by the shower running outside the curtain, but as a gesture of goodwill, we chose not to charge your security deposit. Please enjoy the new year, and happy travels!
This home is wonderfully spacious! The kitchen had basic pans and utensils needed for meals, and the rooms were all large. BE CAREFUL - the drive way is MUCH steeper than we expected, depending on the vehicle and the way you come in the side nearest the mailbox isn't accessible for all vehicles. Small SUVs or small trucks would be best for travel to this location. The 2nd entrance was not very well defined on our trip, definitely recommend getting there during daylight hours. The house seemed like it had not been stayed in for awhile as there were a few things that could have been tided up prior to our arrival, but it wasn't bad- just not as good as it should have been. There are limited towels so if you plan on using the hot tub have extra or be prepared to do laundry(which they have on site). The hot tub is older, but does the job if wanting to relax. The porch off the living room was nice for hanging out and enjoying the evenings, spiders are really bad this time of year and we had to clean off some webs when we got there, but were good after that. The garage doors did not open and it smelt terrible so we did not use that space. The beds and linens are also older, again one of those not bad but not really good things. I would have liked to see extra blankets and pillows around. Overall we had a great time, this was perfect for some of the Roller Derby team while visiting Knoxville. I would stay here again, but would hope to see a little TLC put into the property.
I do not believe that the reviews for the property are authentic and may be generated by the property manager. Also, the photos are outdated.
The property is in a peaceful location. However, the property could improve the check-in process, cleanliness of the property, and hazardous driveway. I had to contact VBRO becuse I had not received check-in information and it was 30 mins before check-in.
When I arrived to the property, I noticed that the driveway had not been cleared of leaves since the start of fall. Given the steepness of the driveway's decline to the property, it creates slick conditions. It contributes to a vehicle sliding towards the cliff. When informed about the hazardous conditions of their entry, the property manager offered no resolution and took no responsibility for the proper care of the home's driveway.
The fire pit area is not as pictured. Instead, the area is not properly maintained and has overgrown foliage and broken chairs. The porch furniture was also broken and in poor condition. Overall, the furniture had not been cleaned in some time.

Great place
Nice clean spacious. Everything you will need for you stay. The heat/air is alittle tricky it has 3 different places to set down stairs kitchen and master bedroom. They should all be the same or it can get really hot. Bunk beds are small but perfect for 1-2 couples with children
Sevierville house, easy jacket great location driveway a little challenging make sure you go to the right way. Overall great stay, Hot tub was awesome. Plenty of room. Close to melt biking at Bakers Creek. Would definitely recommend
We stayed in the area for a UT vols game. When we arrived there were some housekeeping issues that were immediately resolved by the guest host to more than our satisfaction!!! The house is beautiful, perfect size and decorated and our family loved the ping pong and tub! There is a fire put but we failed with our fire starting skills....we aren't candidates for a survival show :) there were garbage bags, seasonings, paper towels, TP provided...my only suggestion would be to bring some kcups and laundry detergent with you if you need those items...we did but just ran to the DG and picked them up. We will definitely be back to this peaceful, beautiful retreat!
