Lovely home in the hills of Austin. Perfect getaway home!

A group of us were in town for a breast cancer fundraiser bike ride. The home was a perfect way to relax at the end of each day. The home is so lovely and the view so peaceful. We had a great time and just loved our stay!

Worst VRBO experience

The AC stopped turning on, and it was extraordinarily uncomfortable both during the day and evening. We did not experience one night of comfortable sleep throughout our stay. Instead of enjoying our stay and relaxing in our home, we spent a tremendous amount of time communicating with the concierge, who was only sometimes quick to respond. We have stayed in Arizona, Mexico, and California and have never experienced a similar situation. There was no offer to be moved to another property, have the AC repaired on day one, have box fans delivered, or move to a hotel. There was an ant infestation everywhere in the kitchen, around the sink, through the cracks in the walls and countertops (a couple of pics attached). I would spray and clean everything twice daily, and they would return in an hour. They even got into our food which we then had to dispose of. Our son was walking in the grass playing corn hole and stepped on glass (which looked to be a piece of a broken wine glass), which caused intense bleeding. The Blackstone grill was dirty upon arrival, the pool cleaner did not work, the pool lights stopped working, The last day when we were cleaning and doing laundry, to leave the sewer backed up in the shower, and our shower was filled with sewer water. We could not shower on our last day.

Worst booking ever

We recently stayed at a house from June 29th-July 7th and spent over $6,600 for our stay. Unfortunately, this family vacation was not memorable for the right reasons. The AC stopped working; we did not have not ONE night of comfortable sleep. It was unbearable. To make things worse there was an ant infestation in the home and despite cleaning several times a day the ants would return. On one night we ended up having to attend to a cut my son received due to a piece of glass in the grass, and on the last day, the sewer backed up into the shower, and we were not able to shower the last day. Instead of enjoying our stay and relaxing in our home, we spent a tremendous amount of time communicating with the concierge, who was only sometimes quick to respond.There was no offer to be moved to another property, a hotel, nothing. We were in constant communication with the concierge regarding the AC unit needing to be repaired and were told that there was nothing that could be done due to the "Texas heat" the AC was working as best as it could. We were visiting friends and family in TX, all of which had functioning AC in their homes. I regret not leaving after day one and requesting to be moved upon our arrival when we noticed the AC unit was not functioning. We instead believed that the management company would remedy the situation as promised. The company also stated they would offer some type of compensation but we have yet to receive any communication from them.

Thankful Thanksgiving

This house was perfect! Great neighborhood, central location, clean, comfortable, super gathering space, incredible master suite and the view is killer. Hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for 14 family members and luckily HEB was close. We’ve gotten together all around the country as a family and this is one of the best houses(if not the best) for our needs. Next time we’ll come when it’s warm to utilize pool.
