Needs some serious TLC
Location was great. Neighborhood and access to the water were ideal. Bathrooms seemed recently updated. Otherwise, most things seemed to be either dirty, outdated or flat out broken. We arrived on day 1 and one of the sides of the duplex had not been cleaned from the previous renters. Someone at DI Rentals quickly answered and sent someone to clean it that evening. Overall, minor inconvenience. The grass was over a foot tall when we arrived. We had young kids running around so decided to ask them to come cut it. They sent someone the next day. There’s a window broken and taped together in unit B. Both units have several cabinets/closet doors that are broken or don’t shut. Several boards are missing on the wrap-around porch, which seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen. We had multiple toddler-aged children that could have easily fell between the boards to the ground. We had to keep things covering it the whole time. There was no garden hose anywhere that we could find. We had to ask a neighbor to borrow theirs or spray boat off at the bait shop/marina. Also, made for a very difficult time cleaning fish. We appreciated the quick communication from DI rentals. We made the best of it and had a great trip with family while spending most of the time on the water and at the beach. Overall, we did not have everything we needed and the house needs some TLC.
