Welcome to Mountain Music Lodge! With historical charm around every corner, this lodge is as authentic as they come. Antiques adorn the log walls, and the home exudes the kind of rustic Western aesthetic one might expect from an old-timey lodge.
The intricate lighting and floor-to-ceiling fireplace set an excellent scene for a cozy night with family and friends, and the downstairs game room provides the tools necessary to keep your group entertained. If you`re keener on being outdoors, you`ll appreciate the covered porch complete with outdoor seating, and a gas grill!
On the main floor of the home, you will notice a fully equipped kitchen waiting for the chef of the group to embrace their culinary skills. There is also a large bathroom that doubles as a laundry facility and one bedroom suited to accommodate a family with its king-sized bed and a twin bunk hiding just around the corner.
Each bed will be wrapped in hotel-quality linens, so no matter where you choose to sleep, you can do so comfortably. You'll find two bedrooms on the uppermost level, one with a queen-size bed in place and the other with a full-size bed. On the main floor, you'll find the master bedroom with a spacious king bed and two child-sized bunk beds in the adjoining area. Finally, in the daylight basement, you'll find a wall mounted murphy bed, as well as four additional bunk beds.
From the ski-themed pool to the foosball room, there is plenty of opportunity for merrymaking. Envision yourself watching friends compete in a game of poker while whipping together your favorite happy-hour drinks. Or playing a round of pool while the fireplace roars in the background. With a queen murphy bed at your disposal, it might be hard to find a reason to head upstairs!
This house could be the ideal home base for a fun-filled vacation away from the hustle and bustle. Take advantage of the hiking and biking trails in the area, or spend a day fishing in nearby Fish Lake. During the winter months, embrace the snowmobile trails or take a sleigh ride through the snowy fields. The possibilities are endless, but no matter what, you can look forward to a peaceful night.
If you have a larger group, feel free to inquire about our cabin on the adjoining property, "Mountain Music Cabin"; It is within walking distance of the lodge and can accommodate up to 8 guests.
Please note: this vintage home is in the midst of some improvements - some are complete, like a new window in the main floor bedroom for added natural light, but others are ongoing. The downstairs game room will be receiving new floors, but for now is concrete with rugs in the sleeping spaces.

This place certainly had its own charm. Large, warm and cozy, strangely built, and fun! Played billiards, had plenty of room, and being dog-friendly is always a plus. I wouldn't mind a setting of smaller spoons, non-stick and/or cast iron fry pans, and a new kettle, but those are nit-picks. We enjoyed the location and our stay.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share what you loved about your stay! It sounds like you had a great visit to our area and we’re so happy to have been a part of it. We also really appreciate your recommendations for the kitchen. Come back anytime you’re ready for your next Leavenworth getaway.
The cabin was just as expected. Smelled a little funny when we first arrived but once we starting cooking that went away. The basement was a great hang out space. Maybe could do with a light in the parking area. The house was plenty big enough for 7 of us and our pups.

Thanks so much for being our guests! We're glad you enjoyed the home, and we'd love to host you again at any of our locally managed properties when you're ready for another alpine getaway.
Overall, our family really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was spacious, cozy, and tucked away in a quiet neighborhood that felt peaceful and relaxing. We loved the fun games, the sauna, and that we could bring our pets along. It truly felt like a warm, family-friendly lodge. It definitely stands out as a unique and historical cabin in the area and it so beautifully built. One important consideration for future guests is wildfire season. We learned ahead of our stay that the host has a policy—separate from VRBO’s site, and not posted anywhere—that only if air quality is above 200 on the day of check-in, can you reschedule or cancel. While staff were very kind and helpful when I called with questions, the policy was surprising as AQ above 200 is very unhealthy for anyone, especially for my parents that I shared are elderly and uncomfortable with any level above 100. On our arrival day the air was clear, but by Saturday and Sunday smoke levels reached close to 200 (on Sat/Sun), limiting time outdoors. Room for at least rescheduling, especially for those with respiratory issues would be nice. The policy seemed arbitrary and reasoning for why was never explained, nor explained till I called twice. It needs to be posted. This isn't meant to discourage others from staying - we truly enjoyed it and we are grateful for a lovely place to gather. Just a heads-up to future travelers booking July–September: be mindful of this policy (it's on us for booking during this season).

Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. We’re so glad to hear your family enjoyed the cabin’s cozy, peaceful atmosphere and amenities—it truly is a special place for making memories, and we’re happy your stay reflected that.
We also appreciate your feedback regarding our air quality policy. Wildfire smoke is unfortunately a regional challenge during certain times of year, and our policy is in place to ensure consistency and fairness to both guests and the homeowners who rely on these bookings for their livelihood. We do our best to communicate these details clearly in advance and always monitor conditions closely to keep guests informed and safe. Your comments are helpful, and we’ll take them into consideration as we continue refining how we share this information.
Thank you again for staying with us, and we’re so glad you were still able to enjoy a relaxing family getaway despite the smoky conditions.
